'SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!' Jerry Maguire

Advantages: Cameron Crowe knows what the audience wants, the cast deliver it

Review of Jerry Maguire (DVD)

Jerry Springer the Flopera

Advantages: The music is good
Disadvantages: It went way over my head!

't watched a great deal of Jerry Springer shows - seen one, seen them all. But this musical seems to have gone way over my head! I appreciate that lots of people do think it is a great musical, I can see how it will appeal to some humours, and I did laugh on some occasions (even at the man in the nappy!). The mega-mix at the end with whole cast dressed as Jerry is good, but maybe I was just relieved to get to the end! To give credit to Richard Thomas who wrote the music, it is generally great music and enjoyable to listen to (if you ignore the lyrics which are by him and Stewart Lee)!) and I did find my feet tapping along! Even (I hate to admit) singing "Jerry Jerry" a couple of times! As ever with the West End the singing and talent of the actors and actresses is stunning. Many people will have heard of "Jerry Springer the Opera" due ...
