Peace At Last
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Jill Murphy writes some very good children?s books and ?Peace at last? was one that I forced my parents to read to me over and over again when I was younger.
The book is published by Macmillan Children?s Books and the story has been around since 1980! Jill Murphy has also done the illustrations, which are quite detailed but really help tell the story. My copy of the book is a rather old paperback copy, which cost £2.95. The book has a large picture of Mr and Mrs Bear on the front in their bed asleep and there is a dark brown border around the edge which actually makes the book stand out.

Did she get it wrong? -- Read on.

Although it's entirely fictional, the title was inspired by a gravestone he encountered in Ypres, the scene of much of the British tragedy of that war.
The structure of the book is ...
