...Well it's another year and another release for the legends that are the Chemical Brothers.
The Chemical Brothers are two guys called Tom and Ed; the pair met while at university in Manchester in the late eighties. At this time a revolution was going on, a musical revolution. These days were the days of the legendary Manchester club The Hacienda. Dance music was really beginning to take off in all it's forms wether it be the vocal, funky house from America or acid house, hardcore or techno. Tom and Ed fell in love with this emerging scene. The pair also had a love of hiphop, funk, rock and soul. The next step for the music lovers was obvious; they began to DJ under the name of "The Dust Brothers". Advantages: finally put his lyrics to good beats Disadvantages: songs should have made proper retail albums
...errggggghhhh the fact that i mentioned in the title gets on my nerves so much, nas is one of the best lyracists if no the best ever, though only when he concentrates and takes his time with things like he did, taking 2 YEARS !!! to make 'illmatic' probably one of if not the best hip hop album ever. Well this one, 'the lost tapes vol.1' is just a collection of unreleased songs that he didnt think worthy of albums before it, and that fact right there just makes me laugh because nas came out with two great albums , 'illmatic' and 'it was written', then he went and completely flopped trying to go commercial with 'nastradamus' and 'i am' both of which were seriously wack (crap) with the exception of 1 or 2 tracks.
So this all begs the question, most of the tracks on here are dammm near classic, so why the hell did they not make any...

..." appeared on this album along with many more great tunes.
This album was my first introduction to the EverlyBrothers and i have never looked back. I have yet to find an artist(s) that i like better.
In 1973 they parted and both persued solo careers. Before their split they relesed an album called " Take of the seventies" which included great covers such as "Lay Lady Lay" (Bob Dylan) & "The Air That I Breath" (The Hollies)
In 1983 they got back together again for the first time in 10 years when they held their reunion concert.
They released a new single "On The Wings Of A Nightingale" whith which they restarted their Duet career.
Over the years i have been lucky to hear all angle of the Everlys music and if your a fan you will all ready appreciate their entire collection and if not you will only know the recordings that you would hear...
