Album Reviews: Spin (2/97, p.91) - "...offers the repetitiveness of pure formula: ten songs, played by the same supple studio musicians who spruce up everyone else's records, with one fun oldie...homespun wordplay...and honky-tonk weepers delivered in a twang worth leaning into. Song quality guaranteed..."
Advantages: Great songs, talent, highly skilled voice, excellent sound quality Disadvantages: You might not like Michael Jackson
...There is no other album like Michael Jackson's Thriller even after 25 years it still remains a class above the rest in my opinion. Michael Jackson's Thriller sold in excess of 27 million copies in the USA and Michael Jackson received a ground breaking eight Grammys and 12 nominations in 1984.
The album is highly polished and has an excellent sound quality. The album produces a style that is unique to Michael Jackson which has a great dance atmosphere and has a good blend of percussion and keyboards. Tracks like "Billie Jean" and "Beat It" are part of this influential album.
Ilove the way Michael Jackson's Thriller captures you into a world of make believe as the music slows down and picks up throughout the album. No two songs are the same. The beat in each song is fantastic giving a good blend of variation throughout the album...

Advantages: It's different to most music! Disadvantages: Not everyones cup of tea.
...AlanJackson is a folk and country singer from Georgia. His music is mainly diddley-dee and all weird guitars and country genres. This isn't really the sort of music that i would like but because my dad bought it i sort of got hooked.
This sort of music is also associated with NASCAR in America.
~~Gone Country~~
This song is fairly upbeat, and its about Alan's girlfriend and about the story of how she 'went country' and went back to her roots. Alan also says in the song thats its his last chance which could indicate many reasons for that line... he wants to tell her he loves her?
~~Drive (For Daddy Gene)
This song is rather annoying and slow in the verses but more lively in the chorus. Alan explains his experiences when his ''daddy'' let him drive. He describes the car in the song and what he can see when hes driving. ''It was just...

...Ilove this album. I think this is Jackson's best album out of those 4 early albums he did at Motown. His voice is better and louder is this one and the songs are better, it is more of an uptempo piece. My favourite track is Maria because it is a great song and Jackson utilises his full vocal talents with this particular song with those long notes and using real power behind his voice. Ain't no sunshine is also another brilliant track on this album, Jackson's material is just wonderful, Ilove listening to it and Got to be There is a must for any Jackson fan....
