Advantages: It's soooooo good. Disadvantages: Slightly dodgy sound quality but it is live after all.
...This was the first album release by Janes Addiction and surprisingly it is a recording of two live performances in 1991. I can't think of any other band who have released a live album as their debut album but feel free to correct me if i am wrong. This album is a testament to the fact the Jane's Addiction may be quite unbelievable on cd, but live they were a life changing experience. For anyone only familiar with Lou Reed through Walk On The Wildside/Trainspotting/Perfect Day then this is the ideal intorduction to his back catalogue.
If you are a fan of Bowie it is an essential purchase - Reed is the darker twin of Bowie and their 70's careers owed alot to each other and their love/hate relationship.
This selection takes in everything from Velvet Underground songs...
