Everything Sucks [PA] - Reel Big Fish

Advantages: A nice collection of early recordings.
Disadvantages: lacks the polish of their more recent efforts.

...noticed by the big league. Everything Sucks is a showcase of a lot of the group's early work and a frequent source for material for their other releases. In total at least 11 of these songs found their way onto Reel Big Fish Albums albeit some under alternative titles. Needless to say this album is filled with the same catchy hooks, loud horns and in your face lyrics (Track 4: I hate you F*** you LEAVE ME ALONE!) that Reel Big Fish have become known ...
...a self produced debut, the quality is not as good as you'd expect. Not simply the recording quality but the band aren't playing as tightly as they do now and Barretts lyrics in several of the songs are just awful. Also some of the arrangements aren't great either. Not to say it isn't a bad album. Almost all the tracks that survive in later albums are good (Notably Skatanic and **** Yourself (later renamed All I Want is More) sounding almost as good ...
