Firstly you shouldn't even need to be reading this review you should have bought this album (or be planning to buy this album) on the Boyz reputation alone. Or perhaps you don't know much about BoyzIIMen then you've come to the right place...
The Philly quartet's third album has a more mature sound than the previous albums this change is reflected in the title of the album "Evolution". As group member Nathan Morris puts it "Evolution is the act of positive change, growth, maturity...BoyzIIMen".
The album consists of 14 soulful Tracks where the Boyz sing about heartbreak/loneliness in tracks like the Shawn Stockman penned "Doin' Just Fine" and the Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis produced "4 Seasons of Loneliness". In other tracks they pay homage to their Mamas in "A Song for Mama" and to God in "Dear God". My favorite track is ...
Advantages: Great music, lyrics and vocals Disadvantages: Nothing
**Introduction**
If you are a regular reader of my music reviews you will probably know that one of my favourite artists is BoyzIIMen. This album is their third album and was released in 1997 and is their last album recorded on the Motown label. Regular collaborators like Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis and Babyface contributed to the album aswell as Sean Combs aka Puff Daddy or P Diddy as he is known nowadays.
