Advantages: the funky pop of Talking Heads combined with some killer tunes Disadvantages: why isn't this album better known?

Keeping the multilayered polyrhythms of Remain In Light and adding an outright funky sheen Jerry created the best Talking Heads album that the band never made. Assisted by keyboard wizard Bernie Worrell, guitarist Adrian Belew and singer Nona Hendryx (all of whom had graced the expanded touring line up of the Heads during 1980) Jerry's style of music is pure funky pop.

Advantages: Hard to find jukebox singles are now available on this CD Disadvantages: NONE
...For 36 years I've been collecting Jerry Vale music. The jukebox singles were always hard to come by, only finding a 45 single now and then. Then WA-LA! Here's the ultimate collection of Jerry Vale singles all wrapped up in this wonderful collection titled "The Essential 50s Singles". Not only are some of his greatest hits part of this CD, but there's also a few surprises. "Tired Of Dreaming" is a dramatic song, showing off Vale's astounding voice range. "For You My Love", could almost be an operatic song for Jerry. Two songs are very Un-Vale-Like and very enjoyable, "Heaven Came Down To Earth", and "The Flame". "Heaven Came Down To Earth" is a swanky swing number with great orchestration, that Vale sings like only Vale can. Listening to "The Flame", you can picture 2 people sharing an ice creme soda at a 50's style Malt-Shop with it...
