Advantages: New Material Disadvantages: Best of, is it to make money?
This is the first offering from Matchbox Twenty since 2002's release "More than you think you are". This album is in essence a greatest hits, although it does have 6 new tracks on. This makes it a must have for all Matchbox fans. There are also the older tracks for the people who are new to Matchbox and i feel there may be after the success of Rob Thomas's solo efforts. The new songs are in the same vein as older tracks with the lead single ... ...attack on certain governments. The other tracks are also good with a mixture of pop and melodic songs. "These hard times" is my personal favourite, which has some good vocal ranges for Robs voice and some thought provoking lyrics. The rest of the album is a mixture of the three old albums, "Yourself or someone like you", "Madseason" and "More than you think you are". There is a good mixture of songs which gained ... more

The new songs are in the same vein as older tracks with the lead single "How far we've come", which i see at a little attack on certain governments. There is a good mixture of songs which gained radio airplay and songs which i would call "fan favs". All in all, i think that this is a album that you should own. For MB20 fans its new material which has been nearly 6 years in the making and for new fans its a collections that will get you hooked on the band. A personal favourite!

Album Notes
The fourth album from US soft-rock sensations Matchbox Twenty is a retrospective package that contains their biggest singles to date along with several new tracks. The new material remains in the band's trusted and accessible AOR framework, featuring the band's drummer Paul Doucette playing rhythm guitar after the departure of original guitarist Adam Gaynor in 2005. Collecting singles such as 'Disease' (co-written with Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones) and 'Bent', which topped the Billboard chart in 2000, this release is essential for both fans and newcomers alike.
