Advantages: Good music for an atmospheric evening Disadvantages: Not suitable for everyone
...definitly recommend this album. It would appeal to those people who like modern moody music. Although Depeche Mode are catagorised as a pop band this album is definitly not typical pop. They still use the keyboards and drum machines but there is also a lot of early experimenting with sounds. It makes for a very unusual sound even these days....

...Ghostface’s second album features many guest appearances by other Wu-Tang members and RZA produced many of the album’s tracks. Ghostface, the “Wally Champ” is back with a 21 track album (not 14 tracks as listed on the back cover!). He brings his own distinctive delivery to a varied musical backing which ranges from banging Wu production to Cher! Ghostface flips his own unique slang on a number of topics from street tales to his dress code to remembering his school days. What makes this album interesting is the variety of musical styles used in the production and how Ghostface adapts his flow and wordplay to ride each track. I found two of the tracks initially unlistenable “who would you f***” and “cher chez la ghost” but it’s nice to see a rapper who’s not afraid to experiment rather than produce an album which sounds like dozens...

Advantages: Its a musical treat from the streets Disadvantages: You'll be wanting more by the final track...
...I didn't know much about Jamie T when I walked into HMV with a spare £10 loitering in my wallet... buying my music online had made walking into a shop a very weird experience, especially when I wasn't particularly sure what I'd be walking out with. Nevertheless it was well worth all the nervous tension - Panic Prevention is best described as rollercoaster experience full of twists and turns and offering plenty of thrills per minute!
Jamie mixes together a variety of styles and genres which gives the album an eclectic sound - Acoustic guitars clash with electric drum kits as Jamies voice switchs effortlessly from singing to almost rapping in songs such as Salvador and Brand New Bass Guitar giving the impression that his live act would be an amazing event (one which I hope to experience very soon indeed!) I can't rate this album...

Advantages: Another fantastic release from the LTJ Bukem lot Disadvantages: CD 2 is just studio mix of the live set
...If you liked the previous Progression Sessions, you will like this. The tunes are complemented by the legendart MC Conrad on the mic, and enhances the experience of the live set. The actual tracks on the CD are nice, bass ridden, and definitely designed for when you come in from a club, and need something to bring you to a more level playing field.
The style of tunes has moved on from the early days of Logical Progression, into a more fluid sound, with less emphasis on the drums and bass, but the essential elements of the sound are still there - drum, bass, MC
The packaging is also very nice, with a cardboard fold out sleeve, which makes a change from the usual plastic affair you get with most CDs now
Buy it, and enjoy drum and bass, from the masters!...
