Advantages: some classic reggae tracks including Rivers of babylon Disadvantages: 2 tracks are repeated
...There are not that many film soundtracks that are made into CD's and are played and treasured as an album in their own right. People usually buy them because they liked the film, find that half the tracks are not so good without said film, and the CD inevitably gravitates towards the dusty, never played, soon-to-be-in-a-boot sale section of the CD rack.
There are a few exceptions to the rule. 'Easy Rider' comes to mind for those of you who are greying, balding or drooping. 'Pulp Fiction' is probably a better example for those who still have all their own teeth. Being a member of the former I can also cite this album, now digitally re-mastered, 'The Harder They Come'. It is the soundtrack of the 1973 film of the same name made by Perry Henzel.
By the way, if you don't like Reggae read no further.

Advantages: Will appeal to pretty much everyone, varied. Disadvantages: May not like all of the songs, some people prefer the originals.
...When I first heard about this, I was a bit sceptical, as I tend to think that original songs are always better than the re-makes. However, I am pleased to say that I have been proved wrong by this wonderful, wonderful album. I love most of the artists and songs on this CD, and now I like some songs that I didn't before. It's so different to the other albums I own, and there's pretty much something for everyone on this disc - it's so varied, but that's great! I know all sorts of different people who love this, and it's really good fun to listen and sing along to with your mates. I would reccomend this to anyone, as I believe it would be extremely difficult to find someone who didn't at least like one of the songs on here....

Advantages: Some fantastic songs that benefitted from a live atmosphere. Disadvantages: Some tracks didn't work vocally, a little Beatle bias.
...with just Paul and the instrument, said to be one of George's favourites and a poignant moment within the context of the band as it was the first A Side single of one of Harrison's songs.
