King (real name Kim Petersen) burst into prominence (ish) in the early 1980s with his group of Danish headbangers Mercyful Fate, one of the bands to be directly influenced by the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (see the opinion: "Get Your Hands of My Nob" for more information on the NWoBHM). After hearing this new sound from across the water they employed many of the attributes of this style and honed a taught and very heavy European sound. King himself being fond of the horror movies and the Satanic imagery, with the goats and the virgin sacrifices and the Vincent Price with the glowing red eyes, forged himself a somewhat demonic image and penned "Satanic" songs supposedly praising the evil one. I brought this album after having listened to 'Private Eye' on a Kerrang! compilation album some time ago. I would not say that I'm disappointed with my purchase, but it wasn't at all what I had expected after hearing Private Eye. Some of the songs have a much more punk-pop feel to them, (unlike Private Eye), and I would certainly reccommend this album to fans of Green Day, Blink 182, and so on. I would also recommend listening to most of it before purchase, so as not to be quite as suprised as I was when... Read review

Advantages: Why does my heart
Disadvantages: feel so bad

...Man of the moment moby. I first took notice of this man on the release of tomorrow never dies the bond film. You see moby did a re mix of the bond music and it rocked, I loved it, so I kept an eye out for him and sure enough his name poped up again and now everyone loves him, making this album no 1. Hits such as natural blues getting a re release and why does my heart and porcelain. Moby is music god cos he knows what people want to listen to. He made the transition from piano player to music producer for the better I think. Buy play! That is all.... Read review
