...Easily one f the best Albums of 2006. Snow Patrol once again proves to everyone the quality of the album is second to none. With Beautiful songs such as set fire to the third bar, and the number 1 single Chasing Cars as well as the anthems Eyes open and It's beginning to get to me, this Album is a must for anyone who likes Snow Patrol, or even for people who arn't sure, this CD will change your mind from the first listen, great for chilling out to. Advantages: Thoughtful - easy listening - wonderful sound
Disadvantages: Not a single disadvantage to buying this cd

...I have to admit, until I heard CHASING CARS on the radio, I'd never heard of Snow Patrol. (shame on me) CHASING CARS hooked me... like a fish I gladly took the bait and allowed myself to be reeled in! The music and lyrics of that song hit home, and I immediately purchased a copy of the cd. I was expecting more of the same slow, thoughtful, feel-good songs, but I was so wrong. The cd is like a bowl of fresh summer fruit salad with all the ripe and juicy fruit chunks mixed together to create a mouth-watering mixture of oh so nice food for the soul... or in this case... music for the soul. DON'T expect every song to be like CHASING CARS, they're not... but DO expect to be won over from the very first song. Brilliant.... Read review

...It seems that having taken the music scene by storm a couple of years ago Gary Lightbody and Co have opted for a more subtle return. While the Final Straw really seen Snow Patrol hit the big time they followed it up this year with their 4th studio effort, Eyes Open. It had been suggested that The Final Straw would be a hard act to follow and of course this was always going to be the case, but it's fair to say that Lightbody et all have given it a good go. While its predecessor went multi platinum this latest effort seems less of an assault for more new fans but more an attempt to satisfy those who discovered the band before 2004 and the newer, much larger body of fans. While Songs For Polar Bears and When Its All Over Do We Still Have To Clear Up were more about making music for the enjoyment, Final Straw was an attempt to get some... Read review
