*-*-* Introduction *-*-*

I have never really liked Westlife I don't know why but I just have, but I had to buy there latest album for my DJ'ing so I sat down and gave it a good listening to and now I would like to share what I have to say about this album…

*-*-* Songs *-*-*

1) You raise me up (4 min 3 secs) - This is one of the songs that you quite commonly hear on shows like the X Factor or pop idol (although that is not really on anymore) it's a very not lively but it is a very powerful song, one of the lines is 'you raise me up so I can stand a mountain, you raise me up so I can walk on stormy seas' and to the people who listen to music a lot or for the older generation or for anyone they are phenomenally strong lyrics and that's what I like about this song, it will appeal to some people like me but I can tell that this is a song that some people will really despise.

2) When you tell me that you love me (3 min 58 secs) - This song is with Diana Ross and I can tell you that the partnership together is amazing again like the song before this is a very powerful song and one that you can easily learn the lyrics to, and I can tell you when I have done wedding disco's this goes down amazingly well, you just cant resist the urge to dance. I can't see why some people will hate it I give this song a really good rating.

3) Amazing (2 min 51 secs) - This song is a lot more lively than the previous two on the album and its very catchy and a very good song to sing along too, very easy to learn the words I don't really like it as much as the previous ones but its still good. It's a very short song and most of the song is the chorus this can be a little down side as they could of added one more verse or two but this doesn't really matter, I haven't really played it at disco's because no one knows it but I'm sure when they release it, it will be a massive hit.

4) That's where you find love (3 min 47 secs) - This song is very progressive, it starts out really slow and then gradually gets faster but not that fast, its more like the first two songs on the album it's a great tune to listen to and you would think that an album with a load of slow songs will be a little but rubbish but oh know, they are so wrong you'll be singing all the words off this song before you've listened to it twice and for most songs that's very quick, this is a song that you'll get in your head but it's a pleasant song to get in your head and I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I have.

5) She's back (3 min 17 secs) - I have to say that this is not one of my favorite songs on the album because it just doesn't go with the rest of the tunes, its modern and that's not what the album feel is, its really hard to explain in writing but if you get it you'll see what I mean, but if you ignore the rest of the album and you just listen to this song then it's a ok song, not brilliant but not poor.

6) Desperado (3 min 38 secs) - Originally sang by the eagles and you've heard the original then you will no the sort of feel that the album is, and this is returning to the feel from the album, another easy song to learn and another song that will get in your head and I have mentioned before it's a pleasant song like all of them on this album its amazing though! I can tell that this will be a massive success when they release this song.

7) Colour my world (3 min 57 secs) - This has got some extraordinary vocals on this song some very hard notes to hit and I can tell that this was a risk a put this on the album but in my opinion they pulled it off amazingly, I have only heard this song once of twice but I find myself singing along to it wherever I am, am sure that you'll like this song if you are into the style of song.

8) In this life (4 min 11 secs) - You may of noticed that some of the songs on this album are quite long, and they are amazing for the length of time, and you will find that most of the songs are to do with love and this song has some powerful lyrics 'Let the world stop turning and let the sun stop burning, let them tell me love's not worth going through, if it all falls apart I will know deep in my heart the only dream that matters has come true, in this life I was loved by you.' And the way that is sung is totally amazing some of these songs are very moving. And that's what I like about this album.

9) Heart without a home (4 min 50 secs) - I think meatloaf should of copied some of these songs because of the length of some of them but as I said earlier its 4 min and 50 secs of pure pleasure, all these songs are basically piano and this is no different its strong, emotional to be honest this has saved me a lot of trouble with the slow dances at weddings. This song doesn't have catchy lyrics but it's still a classic song.

10) Hit you with the real thing (3 min 2 secs) - I think this is the only song on the album that doesn't start with a piano maybe apart from She's back but I like this song because it has a lot of percussion and it's a modern one and not a slow one with a few catchy riffs and I think that they will release this one fairly soon because they have recently released 2 slow ones. But it's a good song and I recommend you listen to it.

11) Change your mind (3 min 44 secs) - This is another song that doesn't have the piano but as as played this it just reminded me of Tom Jones and the Mavericks a catchy song with a few good lyrics and a good dance tune that's made with real instruments and not Computers and drum machines.

12) Maybe tomorrow (3 min and 8 secs) - A slow song to end the album and a very appropriate song as it starts with 'I cant believe its over' but it's a song with top lyrics and one that gets in your head but like the rest of the tunes on this album its cool and I enjoyed it.

*-*-* Other stuff *-*-*

As you can see from the description on most of the songs I thoroughly enjoyed this album it has a lot of slow ones but also a few quick ones and they have spaced it out quite evenly, I think that there is something for everyone on this album I believe that it'll appeal to anyone but more to the age of 30-40 but I don't really know, the album is 44 min long and with a few long songs on it that's not bad. I have to admit after listening to
this album it has given me a whole different approach on Westlife. I bought the album for 10.99 in tesco's and I can assure you that it's well worth it. The album is called face to face if you are looking out for it in the shops.

I do recommend that you go out and buy it and yes give Westlife a chance (that's rich coming from me)

I hope you have had a pleasant read, thank you.
