Information about Piatkus, the publisher of my copy of Face The Fire can be found at www.piatkus.co.uk
My copy of the novel carries the cover price of £5.99, however I purchased it for £1 in a local second hand book shop! Face The Fire can be obtained from www.amazon.com for £.25 new or 1p used.
My thoughts and conclusion
This book is marketed in the romantic fiction genre and I would have to say that yes, there is a romantic thread to it, however please do not let that put you off. Face The Fire is an unusual novel, this is not a ?Cartlandesque? romantic novel. There is a little of everything in this book, witch craft, horror, history ...
Advantages: Superb Direction, Great acting, compelling viewing. Disadvantages: It took so long to see it originally.
says a lot about writers Werb and Colleary. The script they have created really does work and rather than being largely padded out it seems to be a good, pure shot of action. At 138 minutes long you could almost be forgiven for thinking it?d be too long but I think if it?d been any shorter it wouldn?t have worked anywhere near as well.
A good script and a decent director are nothing though without a decent cast and Face/Off seems to work there as well. With a cast that includes Nicholas Cage and John Travolta there was little chance this wasn?t going to work. Of course Woo had worked with Travolta before on Broken Arrow and that partnership seems to have been rekindled. I?ve not come to expect any less from Travolta but it is another amazing performance. He really makes the characters his own and when playing both personalities really ...

Time To Wash Faces - A In The Night Garden Board Book
As Jack's obsession with In the Night Garden grows so does his collection of related goods. (I think it may be me with the obsession and Jack is too young to be bothered either way!) This is the latest book we have bought to add to our fast growing collection.
There is a 3 for 2 offer almost always in Waterstone's and on my last trip it was no different. They had this offer applied to the books from the In The Night Garden series and I just couldn't help myself. These smaller sized board books (in comparison to others from this collection) are priced at £3.99 pence and this is the RRP at which they are selling in this bookstore. So I was able to pick up three books for the total price of just under eight pounds. Bargain!

Album Notes
Personnel: Keith Jarrett (piano). The stunning ECM debut that unleashed one of the greatest piano players of our time. Using jazz as an excuse, Jarrett initiated and indoctrinated us with improvised solo piano, something to which listeners would become used to over the next three decades. Facing You is boogie-woogie, country hoedown, blues, folk, rock 'n' roll-flavoured jazz, and is still an astonishing album. The music press at the time of issue were bereft of ideas about how to categorize him; it would have been much simpler just to wallow in the music. Much of Jarrett's and Manfred Eicher's future musical philosophy started out with this important record.
