The band had a couple of eps under their belt before this and went on to release this as their first full length.
The band consists of a drummer 2 guitarists a bass player a laptop and a lot of guitar effects pedals. And from this they create ... ...tranquil and light flowing into a bit of double bass and then explodes into something piercing your ears and drawing you into the music that little bit more.
Making instrumental music interesting is a hard task, and these guys make it seem easy with song after song making you want to listen that little bit more, you wont see yourself reaching for the skip button that often.

The band consists of a drummer 2 guitarists a bass player a laptop and a lot of guitar effects pedals. And from this they create a flowing of music which at one second will by tranquil and light flowing into a bit of double bass and then explodes into something piercing your ears and drawing you into the music that little bit more.

The laptop is used for little drum loops here and there, a little tehno sample then a little drum and bass beat over here. The odd vocal sample and some chimes and piano. You get the picture.
The laptop isn't what makes this music interesting though, it's the guitars which flow in and out of the music adding a more heavier element to the almost dance music underneath it.
I saw this band a couple of months ago headlining the unsigned stage at leeds festival and the performance was amazing. I left queens of the stoneage for these and was totally totally not disapointed. Check out www.65daysofstatic.com for tour dates and keep and eye and make sure you see this band!
The album contains of few of my favourites including Retreat! Retreat! Which seemed to be quite a live favourite as well. The song is a minute epic which when you think it couldn't get any bigger it just keeps pushing that little bit more.
