The Fall Of Troys first album is one which gets better with age. The more you listen to the incredible guitar rifts the more you start to actually hear what the hell he's playing. Once you reach this point, you start loving this band. I'd normally plan my reveiws with the best song, the worst song, and then overall did i like it. However with this album i need about 3 best songs. Rockstar Nailbomb is only 2:03 but it is deffinately one of my favorite, especially when the base comes in about 15 seconds into the song.
I Just got this symphony going is has to be the best intro to a song on this, or on any of Fall Of Troys later albums. In my personal opinion i think it starts to go a little mainstream as the song pans out, but the first 30 seconds are just mindboggoling!
The Last March of the Ents is one of my favorite guitar rifts on the album. What most bands struggle to play as solos this guy plays all the way through.
I know thats three but i have to mention a fourth. F.C.P.S.I.T.S.G.E.P.G.E.P.G.E.P is the original F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X, for all those how enjoyed playing that on guitar hero. Some days i prefer the remix, my girlfriend prefers this one, but there are times when its great to put this on and chill. This is the only song by Fall Of Troy that doesnt make you want to airguitar your fingers off though, but you still wanna air guitar!
The worst song on the album...i'd have to say is Spartacus. Its not terrible, but its only 1:15 and you just need more to be properly sucked into a song.
Its deffinately my favorite album and if you have never heard of The Fall Of Troy then by this, or at least download Rockstar Nailbomb, and then i promise you, you will want to buy the full album.
