The first thing that I noticed about Ciara's new album Fantasy Ride is that it is a lot maturer than her previous offerings. The album is on par with her last 2 albums showing how consistent this artist is. For me, some of Ciara's previous songs have been a little bit more stand out than any on this album however they are still of a very good standard. For example Ciara's debut single 'Goodies' and later single 'Like a Boy' have been 2 of her strongest songs. The album is r n b from start to finish with some brilliant basslines and a very individual start to the song 'turntables' which features Chris Brown. There are some fantastc collaborations on the album including 'Go-Girl' featuring T-Pain, 'Work' featuring Missy Elliot and 'Lover's Thing' featuring The Dream. Other artists included on the album are Ludacris and Young Jeezy. The album also includes the recent single 'Love Sex Magic' featuring Justin Timberlake which has been a favourite in clubs. Ciara's image has also matured with her sound as the stunning album imagery shows. This album is definitely value for money if you are an r n b fan and once again Ciara does not disappoint fans however I still do not think we have heard the best from this artist. Ciara is definitely one to watch as she can only get better!
Tracks:
1) Ciara to the Stage: *One 8/10 - a very strong opening to the album, Ciara at her best here with a very catchy beat.
2) Love Sex Magic (feat Justin Timberlake): *Two 7/10 - the collaboration with Justin Timberlake automatically makes this song more successful than what it would be on its own, still a good song however not one of the best on the album.
3) High Price (feat Ludacris): *Three 9/10 - another Ludacris and Ciara collaboration which is definitely in the same league as 'Oh', nothing repetitive about this duet.
4) Turntables (feat Chris Brown): *Four 9/10 - a strong opening beat and Chris Brown's voice complements the song greatly making it one of the best on the album!
5) Like A Surgeon: *Five 7/10 - this slow r n b jam shows off Ciara's vocal ability however is a little bit repetitive.
6) Never Ever (feat Young Jeezy): *Six 8/10 - one of the catchiest songs on the album which is more in the pop genre, an infectious tune and chorus.
7) Lover's Thing (feat The Dream): *Seven 10/10 - this song is sure to be a future single, a slower tune with two of today's most upcoming artists, what more could an album ask for? definitely a future favourite.
8) Work (feat Missy Elliot): *Eight 6/10 - this song has the same sound as previous Missy Elliot and Ciara collaborations however just not as good!
9) Pucker up: *Nine 6/10 - one of the weaker songs on the album however still pleasant listening.
10) G is for Girl (A-Z): *Ten 8/10 - this song gets better every time you listen to it!
11) Keep Dancin' On Me: *Eleven 10/10 - a classic slow jam from Ciara, possibly her best so far..very easy and addictive listening!
12) Tell Me What Your Name Is: *Twelve 9/10 - definitely one of the tracks you would hit repeat on, very classy r n b!
13) I Don't Remember: *Thirteen 8/10 - another slower jam from Ciara, not as good as track 11 but still shows of her vocal ability brilliantly!
14) Go Girl (feat T-Pain) *Fourteen 9/10 - any song with T-Pain is sure to be a hit and this is no exception, perfect for any club scene!

Didn't know she had a new album out, but that explains why I've been hearing a lot of her music on the radio lately.

Hi there, nice review, welcome to ciao, sorry for the low rating but I would have liked to have read more about the music rather than the listing of the tracks, its not easy writing a music review, I have only ever written one, well done for having a go though - look forward to more reviews - Lyn x
