Advantages: Uplifting, original, rarely heard top quality dance music.
Disadvantages: If you like dance music, none.

...music style vocals. The whole album lies somewhere on the border between house and techno/trance, with a positive, uplifting slant to a lot of the tracks. The whole thing is spliced together by one Mike Cosford but it isn't really the mixing that you will be listening to the CD for - it's the music in between. Stand outs for me are Timo Maas Ubik mix on disc2 and the small booklet with pictures of sweaty girls wearing only large headphones… Joking aside, there are so many great tracks, it doesn't do justice to the album to pick out just a couple. It's pretty hard to find a website that lets you preview the music - this one claims to, but wasn't working when I visited. Advantages: good value for money
Disadvantages: a couple of dodgy tracks

...I was given this as a present and I was really impressed! On face value I thought it would be the usually compilation CD with a few good tunes and then a lot of fillers especially on the third disc but I was quite happily proved wrong! There are a few tracks which I wasn't familiar with but even they have turned out to be good tunes. The CD does feature a lot of the chart classics that everyone remembers (Ultra Nate, Robyn S, Ce Ce Penistone, Uban Cookie Collective) and a few which you won't have heard since 1994 (Jinny, Mory Kante). Its a good mix of really popular chart hits and not so commercially successful club classics. There are also a few tracks which are not the usual mixes which helps to keep it quite fresh. ...This album is a combination of the best garage tunes, one not to miss. Some of the titles will be unrecognised but once heard all will be enjoyed. These street beats will surely satisfy you and your mates towards your music desires. The Album is mixed by the wideboys but not ruined which is a success. If you love, grime, dance, drum & bass or just garage then you should purchase this product. Once heard you will become addicted with the bass and the rythm, 72 tracks should cure your addiction well. If you have never heard this type of music before then here is a good place to start. The value for money is great and will not be dissapointed as this compilation can be picked up for around a tenna.... Read review
