A match made in heaven
Review of Raising Sand [Digipak] - Robert Plant & Alison Krauss by fizzytom

Advantages: Two great artists, memorable vocal peformances, some super songs
Disadvantages: A few less memorable numbers, stalwart Led Zep fans may cringe

...have followed have been measured. In terms of creativity and originality one would have to go a long way to find a superior band. Alison Krauss, on the other hand, the queen of the bluegrass scene couldn't be more establishment. She is the darling of what is a fairly conservative music genre but she has taken this genre to a new level, bringing to it new fans. Remember those beautifully melodic songs from the soundtrack of the movie "O Brother where art thou?" - that was Alison Krauss, and that was the first time I heard her music. Before that I knew her name and I assumed I didn't like what she did. At first glance, the partnership shouldn't work; screeching rocker meets delicate flower doesn't really do it for me - unless you're talking Mark Lanegan and Isobel Campbell - but Plant and Kraus have a trick up their respective sleeves... I Give This Album To You...
Review of Hundred Miles Or More, A (A Collection) - Alison Krauss by BlueMidget

Advantages: Some great songs, great voice
Disadvantages: Read the review

...~~~ Just A Country Boy ~~~ I have long prided myself on what I consider to be a wide and varied taste in music. Eclectic I think is the only word anyone could use to explain what I listen to. Those people who kind of know will probably quickly label me as a rock and metal fan; those who really know me will be able to tell you that as well as Metallica, Megadeth, System Of A Down, In Flames and a whole host of other ‘rock/metal’ bands, my music collection also features many other genres. I could bore you for hours with the various genres and sub-genres that make up my collection, but I think it’s sufficient to say that about the only style I’ve never managed to get into is “dance-music”, (although there have been the occasional exception). The one genre that almost always raises an eyebrow from anyone who thinks they know my taste... Read review

Suprisingly a brilliant Soundtrack
Review of Buffy The Vampire Slayer - Original TV Soundtrack by foreverontherun

Advantages: Some fantastic songs
Disadvantages: Some fantasticly bad songs

...but nice enough. Not sure on the singers voice though. 5/10 Face To Face: The Devil You Know (God Is A Man) One for the rockers here, although its not my cup of tea, i can see the good points about it, i can see people who like hardcore rock music loving this and fair enough! it aint too bad 4/10 (9/10 if u love rock!) Kim Ferron: Nothing But You A great artist, lovely vioce and a great song to go with it, real great chorus, nice lyrics too. I really like this one, great guitar bits in it as well, great mid-tempo song 9/10 Alison Krauss And The Union Station: It Doesnt Matter Probably the best song on here, from the best artist, highly established Alison Krauss is probably the most famouis group on here, and the song proves that, an incredably chilling love song, mostly acousic with just the guitar shopws her incredable voice and songwriters...
