Advantages: Great for rhyme and emergent readers.

...is forms the back, thicker card) shows the 8 main CVC rhyming words from the story alongside pictures of the items / things. At the bottom of this section there is a wheel turning with a large 'at' shown. As the wheel is turned the word can be changed to show words such as cat, fat, mat, hat, flat etc... In other words it's an interactive letter wheel! The text is very large and simple enough for emergent readers to sound out the 3 letter words or join in from memory with the other words. There are quite a few speech bubbles used, a good introduction to speech bubbles. This book is ideal for any child who is ready for sounding out CVC words (consonant - vowel - consonant) but it can also be enjoyed by pre-readers. ...a meaty feeling and sound and I find the ball is most certainly ending up where I am aiming it. As for the driver, I still canoot quite get used to it. I have gone back to my Taylor Made Bubble Burner, which Ii tend to hit better than the Fat Shaft. Ii quite fancy trying the Deep Red Driver but refuse to pay £250 for 1 club! I do like the other fairway woods (3 & 5) which I hit quite well. You can also get a 7 wood in the range. If you visit your local pro, Wilson Fat Shaft also do custom made clubs, and although I bought mine off the shelf I believe custom made clubs, which are set up personally for the user would give even better accuracy. I thoroughly recommend that anyone thinking about purchasing a new set of clubs go and visit their local pro shop and demo the Fat Shafts - it puts the enjoyment back into the game - for me...
