Advantages: The sound is better than before
Disadvantages: None

...with the sound of piano and before you know it “Beauty and the Beast” is in full swing with Bowie delivering crooned vocals in some parts making it sound very cabaret in nature singing the word “My” “My” over and over again the song ends in a cacophony to signal it’s end. To close out disc 1 a faster paced version of “Fame” is played, keyboards replace the saxophone sound of the original and as the sound of Bowies voice fades the first disc ends. The second part of the show starts with one of my favourite Bowie songs “Five Years” is played in a manner to replicate the album track adding the sound of violin to a full string sound giving the chorus more potency and drama. The Rhythm guitar of Carlos announces the lovely song that is “Soul love” and with no room to breath... Read review

Eminems last show, the encore.
Review of Encore (Parental Advisory) [PA] - Eminem by  skitzojb

Advantages: Slim Shady was lost but now is found on the new album!
Disadvantages: Many strong hints that this is the last eminem album.

...My boyfriend and i are both fanatics (sad i know) and we eagerly anticipated the release of the latest Eminem album Encore and weren't disappointed. I found pin pointing a favourite song incredibly difficult to do i've fallen for every track on the album! "Evil Deeds" starts the album off with a catchy beat and the usual lyrical genius we've come to expect from Mr Mathers. "Like Toy Soldiers" sees an old song revamped into a summary of the recent Ja Rule dispute, a definate favourite. Eminem shows his political side with "Mosh", when i first heard it i thought to myself,"That's not a song that's a revolution". Although it's plain to see that Eminem is losing his hold over the public as this George Bush diss failed to prevent his re election in the US. "Just lose it" and "Ass like that" show that Eminem still has a little Slim Shady... Read review

Memories of a magical night
Review of Hall Of Fame - Moody Blues (The) by  SusanLesley

Advantages: A reminder of the best concert I have ever been to
Disadvantages: There are none

..., and you can see all the Moody Blues fans singing along to every word. I Know You’re Out there Somewhere, the single that got to number 52 in the charts in June 1988, in next and yet another of my favourites – I thought I must have died and gone to heaven by this point. Haunted takes us back to the new album for a slow track. Your Wildest Dreams is next, again we’re all singing along with the band. Isn’t Life Strange, number 13 in May 1972, has never been one of my favourite tracks, but hearing it played with a full orchestra made me revise my opinion of it big time. The haunting sound of the violins was enough to make the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. I’m Just a Singer in a Rock an Roll Band, number 36 in February 1973, was just what was needed next to get everyone rocking in their seats again... Read review
