Advantages: Vocals, music, lyrics Disadvantages: Hard to find, not to everyones taste (unlucky them)
Keeping to the same formula as my past few music reviews this one might as well follow suit, despite it's much more obscure artist (compared with Katie Melua, The Streets and Arctic Monkeys, it's not really anything against Mr Baxter himself).
After seeing Tom Baxter on www.myspace.com I actually wrote little blurb for my own private site about the young man:
"The unsigned Londoner claims to sound like "Tom Baxter", so at least he's honest, he fails to mention he also sounds a bit like Elbow, with a dreamy sound of an apocolyptic future wearing down on his mind. A guy who has been compared to two artists I'm fans of (comparasions by The Evening Standard to Jeff Buckley and Nick Drake). Before Keanu Reeves set the trend for dodging bullets in slow motion, Sly Stallone was chiselling his iron jaw, rather than putting his mind to a script in 1986's Cobra. Crime was a disease; he was the cure. It was that simple.
An army of axe wielding serial killers led by the "Nightslasher" are terrorizing L.A. with absolutely no motive. But spare the psychological babble for the films that don't make it seem so cool to wear a trench coat, a pair of aviators, and chew on a match stick in the presence of danger. Stallone's only job as "The Cobra" was to protect a fashion model- who witnessed some of the unmotivated murders- and max out as many psychopaths as possible. It was a great life being an action star.
Whether Stallone meant it or not, Cobra is full of hilarity. Though, surely he must have seen the funny side to a bad guy ...

Advantages: Great fun, good exercise, cheap to buy Disadvantages: None for us!
When we were adopted by our handsome cat, Mew, we decided that he should have some toys to play with. It was with this in mind that we went to Pets at Home to see what was on offer there.
We came back with a couple of little balls ? hubby said that they would be good as Mew hadn?t got any of his own! Actually even though they had bells inside them Mew wasn?t interested. We got a little sack of cat nip which Mew completely ignored!
The real success was the Feather Chaser Wand (yes I know it sounds like some sort of sex toy but trust me on this one!).
It is made by a firm called Willow?s and the full name of it is Willow's Feather Chaser Wand Catnip Toy for Cats and it cost just £2.99.
It is supposedly infused with cat nip but as I said earlier this wouldn?t make a blind bit of difference to Mew as he doesn?t react to cat nip ...
