Advantages: It's Amon Amarth, Two Classic Metal Tracks On This Disc Disadvantages: Mostly Average Songs, Too Similar To Last Release
...are as deep and dark as you could want and the riff is beautifully recycled throughout the song. Interestingly, on their 2003 release Versus the World, Amon Amarth included the full demo release as part of a limitededition package, and when comparing the two versions of this song it is incredible to see how for the band have come, musically and vocally.
5. As Long As The Raven Flies - Another song that chugs along at a slow pace. The riff is not really memorable, the lyrics are actually pretty poor... there is not really a redeeming feature about the song. A great disappointment.
"Men will fight and men will die
Wars will be lost and won
That's how it's been and still will be
Long after I'm gone"
6. A Fury Divine - A very good song! Fast as anything, and with an interesting lyrical approach where the first word of a stanza completes...

Advantages: Great production, awe inspiring agressive/clean singing with TRUE feeling, modern, fresh Disadvantages: Not quite as good as their stunning debut

Advantages: One great live album and almost all the B-sides from a 20-year career. Disadvantages: Expensive, frustratingly repetitive, incomplete and out of date.

The most disappointing aspect of Eddie's Archive is its lack of diversity, epitomised in its inclusion of both the 1982 Reading show and the 1982 Hammersmith show that are almost exactly the same. The B-sides collection is really this archive's saving grace, as the inclusion of live tracks with Blaze Bayley makes up for his lack of appearance on the archives, although there still seem to be enormous chunks of the band's history completely left out. The recent release of 'The Early Days' on DVD has hopefully got this Di'Anno nostalgia out of everybody's system, and I eagerly anticipate further instalments of 'The History of Iron Maiden' series. In 2002, Eddie's Archive was collectable and problematic, but fairly complete. Five years later it's out of date and fairly pointless, the original 'limitededition' print being...
