Life has changed dramatically for Leona Lewis since she won the third X-Factor in 2006. To me, she seemed the favourite pretty much from the start as she can actually sing and has a star quality about her as they like to say on the show. What I do like about her though is that she has stayed very grounded and true to her roots and has not let fame go to her head which is nice. Spirit was her debut album and was released in 2007. According to an article I read Spirit became the fastest-selling debut album and the biggest seller of 2007 in both the UK and Ireland, and made Lewis the first British solo artist to top the Billboard 200 with a debut album.
