...King Crimson were one of my favourite groups in my youth. First performing in 1968 First record in 1969 was In the court of the crimson king.
The Album red was produced in 1974 when I was 20. It was released in cd form in 2000.
This album was the end of King Crimson, as I had known it as while it was been made David Cross walks away from the band, the end of an era. King Crimson was reborn in the 80’s and continued to produce albums and perform but it was never the same.
King Crimson members on the album Red were Robert Frip guitar and mellaton BillBruford, Percussives, John Wetton Bass and voice. Also playing was David Cross on violin (before he left), Mel Collins, soprano sax, Ian Mc Donald Alto Sax, Robin Miller oboe, and Marc Charig cornet.
The album cover has their portraits on it.
This album yeah its really heavy...

Ping, ping around my room (I am rocking my head tapping my feet)
Vocals begin. Round about a merry tune a song about a special moment that will be remembered forever the future together stretching on forever.
“The music dance and sing”
“Ten true summers we’ll be there and
laughing too ”
“I‘ll be the roundabout
The words will make you out and out
You change the day your way way”
( Light bright music reminding me of young summer love Trying to listen and type my feelings telling you about the music too (I am singing too))
“I will remember you”
Oh yes that’s tracks good slightly mystic and romantic floating music rising up. I can feel this music running through my innerself...

Advantages: Some of the most creatively emotional music ever to grace the world Disadvantages: Tails off a little towards the end
..., sorry]). In fact many people at the time believed Crimson sounded a lot like the Talking Heads. I don’t agree with this as Crimson are clearly the more progressive band, willing to use their minds as well as their instruments in a way that the Talking Heads could never match (as good as they could be).
Really it was a new beginning for Crimson, having come to a grinding halt after their album Red in 1974. Only Robert Fripp and BillBruford survived the 70s line-up to be joined by Adrian Belew (vocals/guitar) and Tony Levin (bass/stick). Together they created three albums in the 80s before failing to further themselves musically and split for another 10 years.
Beat was their middle, oft overlooked album. Though it has many of their greatest, most beautiful pieces of music. It has a restraint that Discipline lacks and a mood...
