Advantages: So interesting, fun to watch, educational Disadvantages: I want more episodes!!
so pure and beautiful just because the places filmed seem so untouched by human society. This dvd shows how beautiful this place is, but also how harsh it can be. I especially like all the information about penguins, since they are one of my favourite animals!
I really like the music that accompanies the series. It is quite powerful orchestral music that fits in so well with the atmosphere of the series. I think it is chosen perfectly.
The dvd comes in a cardboard sleeve. On the front of the cardboard sleeve 'LifeIn The Freezer' is written in large white letters at the top, and at the bottom 'David Attenborough' is written in yellow letters. In the middle there is a lovely picture of two penguins against a beautiful blue sky, this is the same picture that is printed on the front of the dvd disc.
David Attenborough not only ...
Advantages: Easy but not shallow reading, deeply chucklesome Disadvantages: At the price, none
A book that is tremendously annoying in the sense that as a music fan you wish you'd written it first. Giles Smith's comfortable, easy writing style takes you through his life with popular music; listening to it, buying it, obsessing over it, and finally attempting to play it in public for money.
Along the way he goes through such pivotal moments as buying your first single (and lying about what it was years later), realising that Dark Side Of The Moon is rubbish, discovering that a music fan can't lose his virginity with the record player on, being compelled to buy everything Nik Kershaw records, failing to heed John Peel's warnings that it'll all end in tears, the revelation that Andy Partridge is a total genius, being big in Germany for about five minutes, having your bandmate break down and run off to become a gardener ...
Advantages: You get to see how I spend a typical day. Disadvantages: You may not find it interesting.

The alarm shrieks into life? Ugh?I am loathe to open my eyes, so I reach out from under my warm duvet, feeling around and hit the snooze button?a whole 9 minutes later it shrieks again. Ok, time to get up, if I hit the button one more time I will continue to do so and therefore will oversleep. I push the duvet off of me slowly?brrr it is freezing, sit up in bed and reach over to the bedside table for my specs. Yep I'm blind as a bat without them! I look out the window to see it has it quite icy outside Brrrr!
I put my slippers on and go into the bathroom, where I shiver and quickly splash my face. I then strip off my PJ's and fill the sink with nice warm water, proceed to ...
