albums under his belt, Dutch DJ/Producer Ferry Corsten knows how to knock up a tune. The bombastic title of his latest album, L.E.F. - Loud, Electronic, Ferocious - seems overtly aimed at quieting any doomsday critics that are still flouncing around prophesying the "death of dance music". The contents certainly state a passionate case for the genre's ongoing vitality and ability to reinvent itself, as Corsten lets loose a take-no-prisoners tirade of electro, trance, pop and techno. The visceral pulse of 'Are You Ready' opens the onslaught, preparing the listener for retro anthems such as the record's first single 'Fire' (featuring Simon Le Bon), and 'Into The Dark' (with Howard Jones), and a storming series of trademark trance cuts - 'Beautiful', 'Posession' and a reworking of old favourite 'Galaxia'. The fire dies slightly during the second half of the album, with the likes of 'On My Mind' favouring sentimental chord groupings and female vocals, and 'Junk' (a remake of 'Punk') showcasing Guru's worst rap performance since Jazzmatazz 2, though Corsten redeems himself with the fiery 808 State 'tribute' 'Cubikated' and an elegant finale, 'Freefalling'. Not a perfect set then, but feisty and capable all the same. --Paul Sullivan
Advantages: Never fails to impress Disadvantages: Under-rated

Also known as System F, Moonman and Goureyella who he teamed up with Tiesto on, he never fails to impress.
He is always on the cutting edge of the trance scene producing top quality cross-over tracks, such as Punk and Rock Your Body.
I have never seen him play a bad set after seeing him in the likes of Godskitchen and Ibiza.

His new Euphoria album is more proof that this dj still has a lot to offer to the trance scene.

The duch trance master, ferry corsten is a quality producer and you will have heard him in one of his many guises, such as system f, gouryella, pulp victim, moonman, and some others I cant remember but he has more alieses than a geordie businessman! Ferry Corsten, also known as System F, is a Dutch dj best known for gabba trance tracks.
Corsten is from Rotterdam in the Netherlands, and still makes it his home. Corsten got a young start, DJing and producing tracks at the age of 15. Since then, Corsten has developed into one of the top international DJs.
Though Corsten got his start with hardcore gabba trance, he has also worked in other genres, including other types of trance and house music. ... ...Madagascar-Ferry Corsten Remix 1999 Carte BlanceVeracocha, 1999 System F-Out of the Blue 1999 Gouryella-Gouryella 2000 Gouryella-Walhalla 2000 System F-Cry 2001 System F-Dance Valley 2001 System F vs. Armin van BuurenExhale 2002 Ferry Corsten-Punk 2003 Ferry Corsten-Rock Your Body Rock 2004 ...

Advantages: A range of fantastic tunes for your every mood Disadvantages: None I can think of
...For those of you who are big fans of dance and electronica music, you will love this album! The music style is varied from the upbeat Are You Ready? and Daylight for when your ready to party, to the chilled out sounds of Galaxia after a hard night out.
Not all albums come with a whole selection of great tracks, but this certainly isn't one of those. You may recognise tracks like Watch Out or Fire (featuring Simon Le Bon on vocals) from being out in the clubs. FerryCorsten fans will no doubt love 'Junk' which samples the older track 'Punk'.
I assure you that the whole album is well worth the listen, there is no doubt this is one of my all time favourites being an electronica fan myself! Happy listening!...

Advantages: Great Basslines and Spiritualised Disadvantages: My parents hate it to the bone.
...First of All, the Track is called Revelation and is done By Electrique Boutique, something on Ciao messed it up when I originally wrote this.
Right, this track has featured on Trance Nation & Trance Nation 2 but Ministry of Sound, and these were release last year, yet only track has been released by Data records (an off-shoot of Ministry Of Sound for Hardened Clubber's and DJ's) on the 14th August 2000 UK side and there is the FerryCorsten Radio Edit, FerryCorsten Remix, and then the Original Mix, which I think rules the roost on this particular, however the tracks won't disappoint at all, has they have good basslines and breakdowns that go beyond heaven. Great Tracks from Data Records, they NEVER EVER disappoint!
Oh, it's got some good random preaching in the breakdown...

...This album is a must for all trance fans. It contains some of the biggest tracks to hit Britains dance floors this year.
As usual the album is split into two CD’s (or tapes). The first CD being more melodic and the second being a little harder. Personally I believe that trance music should be more melodic. The second CD just seems to be watered down hard house in places. If I wanted some harder music I would definitely plump for some Sundissential Hard house. That’s not to say there are no good tunes on the second CD like A9 (Ariel), End of Time (DJ Energy and Tatana) and the superb Love Will Come (Tomski Feat. Jan Johnston).
The first CD, however is a stroke of genius. FerryCorsten seamlessly mixes some of the best tunes around at the moment. From start to finish you are treated to tunes like Welcome to the Dance (Des Mitchell), Killer...
