Advantages: a quality entertainer Disadvantages: nothing
...soon to perform.
They have also according to Gerry toured America recently and he still clearly enjoys performing.
Judging by last night people stil love him too.
This was one of the best shows I have seen for a long while Gerry Marsden is besides a top singer a very funny guy.
He often had us all in stitches with the jokes he came out with and he also did a question and answer session in between singing such classics as Ferrycross the Mersey , You'll never walk alone , I like it and lot's more.
These are Gerry's songs and no one can sing them quite like him. Although he is nearly sixty himself now ,you would not believe it from his tireless performance which saw him on stage for nearly two hours.
He also sings a mean rendition of Robbie Williams "Angel" and does a very good Jerry Lee Lewis impersonation too. There is clearly no...

Advantages: Pure listening pleasure for Gerry Marsden fans. Disadvantages: The only disadvantage is the Cilla Black track
...This is a must for Gerry and The Pacemakers fans.
Pure listening pleasure. Gerry Marsden, the lead singer was in the sixties and is still a fantastic vocalist, he can have you up off your seat dancing with 'Shot of Rythm and Blues' and 'Jambalaya' and then completely slow down the mood with classic tracks such as 'FerryCross the Mersey' and 'You'll Never Walk Alone' the ultimate football anthem (especially if you, like I am a fanatical Liverpool fan)
There are 26 tracks to listen to both upbeat and slow I could not find any fault with this DVD except perhaps for the fact that two tracks did not feature Gerry but one featured the Fourmost, which was quite good but the other track Cilla Black, well it depends on your point of view but for me this track ruins the whole thing, (no offence Cilla) but you were at your best on Blind...

Advantages: Great views over the city. Romantic. Disadvantages: Not many but cold in winter
...Long before I first visited Liverpool which was back in 1959 when I docked at the port on returning to UK from Sierra Leone, I had heard of the famous MerseyFerry. Then in the 1960's when the Mersey Sound dominated popular music, Gerry and the Pacemaker's had a gigantic hit with "FerryCross the Mersey". Later it was to become the anthem for the supporters of that great club Liverpool FC.
When I visited Liverpool again in the 1970s I did not have enough time to take a trip on the Ferry and it was only in 1992,when visiting my daughter, who was studying at Liverpool University, that I actually "Crossed the Mersey"for the first time. I had further trips in 1993 and 1998 and found it was an interesting way of travelling in Merseyside. Visually much more interesting than going through the tunnels or by tube train.
I boarded the ferry...
