The song kicks in and whilst you are still musing over the bizarre events of the gap between music you suddenly realise you are in the middle of listening to a remarkable piece of music with 'that' violent Harmonica back in the picture, ripping through the air like a sharp knife. What I love most about this song though are firstly the parts were the band stick to one bouncy beat for sadly short periods of time, but I really do mean bouncy - it is wonderful. And secondly the divine organ playing of Garth Hudson which is excellent throughout but I love particularly in this song.
Now the show is really on! In the liner notes it suggests Dylan's previous comment to the audience was in a "wryly conciliatory" manner. Perhaps they are right, and his voice wasn't as I read...

Ground Force has long been one of my favourite TV programmes. With a keen interest in gardening and landscaping there is nothing more enjoyable than sitting down to watch Ground Force.
Imagine if you can take that enjoyment a step further and extend it to times other than when Ground Force is on television. Of course you could go out and buy a few series on DVD…………. Or you can buy the soundtrack on CD.
I bought the Ground Force soundtrack around five years ago and it has remained one of my favourite CD’s to listen to, particularly when I am feeling a bit stressed or tired. It is very easy listening and relaxing and at the same time as creating such an air or serenity...

Advantages: A return to form for one of today's most innovative artists. Disadvantages: Still not quite at the heights of Casanova
...The difficulty of writing a follow up review so soon after the first is that you can never be sure who has read the original. With that in mind, will those who have read my op on The Divine Comedy's Absent Friends album indulge me for just a moment, while I bring those that haven't up to speed with a Cliff Notes version of my love affair with a certain Mr. Hannon.
I first encountered The Divine Comedy through Chris Evans' Breakfast Show on Radio 1 back in 1995, and quickly became a big fan, sourcing out the band's first three albums, and from then on, purchasing each new release the day it hit the shelves. Without fail, they were all uniformly excellent, in their own unique way - each different to the last, yet retaining the sense of fun and love for life that was a trademark of the band's music.
