Advantages: Melancholy, thought provoking lyrics, beautiful emotionally loaded vocals-just lovely. Disadvantages: Bit mellow and sometimes the songs blend in to each other a bit.
'Life In Slow Motion' is a justly poetic titled album considering its content. This is English Singer David Gray's 7th album after his last one (A New Day At Midnight) was virtually ignored.
As a die hard fan of White Ladder (the album that brough Gray real acclaim), I was concerned whether he could really pull it off again. The album starts of slowly but well with the single 'Alibi': this song has a real live concert feel to it; strings and piano filling out the sound and mounting to a thorough and fat musical climax at the end.
The album continues with a slightly more contempory sounding 'The One I Love'(also a single). In my opinion this song is the stronger of the two so far. It has a very romantic/hippie ballad feel and the subtle guitar in this is lovely. It also has some really nice percussion features teamed with some ...

Founded by the millionaire John Paul Gettyin 1953 on a small ranch in his home of Malibu has grown into a huge collection of museums and collections. The original museum displaying roman and greek works of art proved so popular that the Getty Centre in the Santa Monica mountains now occupies a site over a 100 acres in size.

The Getty Centre is situated in the Santa Monica mountains and you have one of the best views of LA from here. In ...

Advantages: Every song has it's good parts, most are all amazing. Disadvantages: Segregation of fast and slow is questionable
of friends, and the other is more something for when your on your own, or with a couple of people.
As usual, they start with an absolutely amazing track, 'InYour Honour', this makes an absolutely brilliant start to the rockier album, Yes, we can hear you screaming loud and clear Dave! I love the added feature where there is a pause in the middle of the song, and then D.G's vocals come back in. With some artists, pauses are just rubbish, but the foo's have the amount of drama in their songs to pull this off flawlessly. Love it, one of the best songs on the album!
What comes next is an absolute plethora of amazing songs that will take your breath away, after you've listened to them a few times, as some of them take a bit of getting used to. The album has much more of a feel good feel, like in the old days of the band with songs like Aurora ...
