...on the Finale of his balletmusic for Die Geschöpfe des Prometheus, further emphasizing the cosmic hero consept. This theme was originally composed as a contredanse that he used in the ballet, which was followed in 1802 by the "15 variations and fugue on a theme from Prometheus for piano, Op.35."
The first variation begins pizzicato in all the strings. No.2 is presented by cellos and partly by violins against no.1, bowed, by the second violins. This is then played together with no.1, now back in the basses. After this the movement proper gets under way. There follows a short fugue subject in C minor in the first violins, with counterpoint from no.2. Advantages: gorgeous little vignettes of music, all with their own character Disadvantages: only that some of pieces are too short
...This collection of Eno tracks was recorded between 1975 and 1978 and first issued in 1978. The pieces were intended for films - hence, obviously, the title - and many have been used as such over the years.
There is something very appealing about nearly all of these pieces; most are very short, vignettes of sound, with evocative titles such as "Events In Dense Fog" or "Strange Light" or "Final Sunset".
All are recorded on analogue machinery - not a digital sequencer in sight - and it is this that I believe imbues the music with a certain character that you just don't get these days. The sheer act of physically moving tape, altering guitar and piano sounds with analogue synths gives these pieces a vitality and immediacy that remains with the listener for ever.

...This is one of my favourite places beacuse when I enter this building I know that all lifes worries are left on the doorstep I am entering a building that is going to present me with the best of talents that are on offer in the world today.
HISTORY OF THE HOUSE
The Royal Opera House is situated in London's Covent Garden it first opened it's doors in December 1732. This site has been the home of three differnent theatres. the first was mainly a playhouse. The first serious music to be performed here were operas by Handel who played here from 1735 to his death in 1759. He left his organ to the theatre when he died but sadly this was destroyed by a fire in 1808. Is that not a tragedy?
