...I guess at this moment in time you may be thinking, ?Who the hell are they?? Well for me they are one of the best things to ever to come out of the U.S.A. Them and the Fun Lovin? Criminals (FLC) I mention the FLC, because like them the Dandy Warhols are bigger over here than they are back home. I will forgive you if you are not familiar with them as their biggest hit was ?Not if you were the last Junkie on Earth? which was back in 1997. The best description of their style I suppose is a modern day seventies Rolling Stones (does that make sense?). ?Thirteen Tales From Urban Bohemia? is their third album and was released in 2000. ?Q? Magazine made this album one of their top 50 releases of that year ? high praise indeed. ...Before I start: I'm reviewing the video (so there'll be nothing about special features, etc. - just the film) Tarzan is one of those stories most people know (or at least know a version of it) or are at least familiar with. The story I know is the Disney version - Tarzan is raised by gorillas then meets Jane and falls in love with her. You know, it's one of those lovey dovey stories (although there is a lot of action in it - remember it's animated though, don't get your hopes up). Anyway, I spotted the sequal in Oxfam and it's a film I don't have. Since all the videos in the shop are 3 for £1.00 just now I decided just to buy it and see what it's like. Advantages: Decent performances and some witty remarks.
Disadvantages: It's very derivative and predictable.

...has natural charisma that makes him a capable leading man and a sense of fun that lends itself to romantic comedy. He?s such a charmer he could have chemistry with furniture if required. He pulls another perfect English accent out of the bag as Tom LeFroy and brings enough attitude to convince as a cocky man-about-town that just needs the right woman. He?s got very good comic timing that works best when he?s playing the character as a preening dandy and is sufficiently disdainful as the worldly man out in the sticks. The supporting cast comprise many of the great and good of British television and film. Julie Walters is on form as the bustling and often exasperated Mrs Austen, though she can be a touch caricaturish.
