Advantages: Some Absolute Indie Classics Disadvantages: Poor overall track selection
Before I start this review I just wanted to say I love Embrace, they are one of my favourite bands of my teenage years and i would consider myself a Big fan of thiers.
So you now might be thinking "O he's just going to ramble on about how good they are and how this is always on my CD playlist". Well your wrong because overall this could and SHOULD have been much better.
Embrace are one of numerous bands from what i consider to be a golden age of ... ...head to head at the top of the charts. Hearalding from the good old NORTH (my home town infact) they have produced some classic guitar / indie tracks that will remind you why BRIT POP was so good. Tracks like "All you good good people", "save me" and "comeback to what you know" are still as good now as they always have been. Unfortuntaly the gems on this CD are hidden among much more mundane songs from embraces back catalogue. Dont get me wrong these ...

Advantages: Uplifting and powerful Disadvantages: None!
Released before Out Of Nothing, this compiles the "best" singles released from their previous and earlier albums. I bought it when the only other Embrace album I had was Out Of Nothing, and lets just say, within a few days of listening to this I had gone and bought ALL of Embrace's other albums, it honestly is that good.
It has harmonies, powerful ballads, and funny little numbers, and although it sounds a tad mushy, some of their songs really are ... ...and uplifting, such as "All You Good Good People", "Wonder", "Save Me". And also some more rockier tunes- "Hooligan" for example. It's not an album that is purely Embrace's rockier tunes, or Embrace's powerful tunes, it's a great mix of the two! There's a couple of downbeat thought-provoking songs too, including "Fireworks".
It's just a great album with a great mix and I can almost guarantee that you will want to buy the albums that these songs ...
