Superfunhappy Scottish people
Review of Grand Prix - Teenage Fanclub by  gwlith_y_wawr

Advantages: It makes me happy!
Disadvantages: Songs sound the same at first

...of these tracks, plus some new. It’s a great album to buy for anybody who likes 90’s guitar music such as Oasis and The High Llamas, or more recent bands like Cosmic Rough Riders. Also, if you have the chance to see this band live then you should, they are one of the best I’ve seen, their time making music has left them with so many great songs that almost everything they play is a classic. They also talk to the crowd, and make jokes about when they go wrong, a sign of a down to earth, fun loving band. One warning however: Though I totally recommend ‘Grand Prix’ to anybody, it’s best not to buy more than one of their albums at a time. At first the songs may all sound the same, and need extra listens to totally appreciate. If you have too much to listen to then you can get overwhelmed and get really confused about what song is what! Hope... Read review

The Album that is worth A Grand
Review of Grand Don't Come For Free, A [PA] - Streets (The) by  shonamor

Advantages: Fantastic Story, with a beat you can really get into.
Disadvantages: None that I can think of.

...The album a grand dont come for free, by The Streets was a much awaited album by fans of The Streets worldwide. On the release date, I went straight to the shops to purchase this CD. After getting it home and placing it into my CD player, I intently listened to each track one by one. I will certainly admit that the very first time I listened to it, I was rather disappointed. It was not as up beat as the last album. However, by the second and third time, it grew on me immensely, to such a point that this is without a doubt the best album I have heard in a long time. The story which is told throughout the album, is both amusing and heartfelt, and I believe that many can relate to the lyrics, I know I certainly can. Those people out there who are like me, and know The Streets well, will know exactly what I am talking about... Read review

The real Grand Prix music.
Review of Rumours - Fleetwood Mac by  daseaford

Advantages: Real racing music.
Disadvantages: Only one minute.

...You can listen to this album and appreciate the terrific vocals, the changes in mood, the wonderful guitar playing, but all of that is forgotten when halfway through The Chain you hear it! Yes, the theme music from the BBC Grand Prix programme!!! Alas, now the F1 Grand Prix’s races are shown on ITV we don’t hear the “real” music, but I know for most of us F1 fans this is still the one and only theme for F1. If you are listening to this album in your car then The Chain adds at least 20mph to any speed you are driving, if on the open road. You will automatically reach for the volume control and turn it right up. Alas, the “good” bit is less than one minute long, but that is why they included rewind buttons on cassette players. Wait for the green light, it’s go, go go!... Read review
