Advantages: A throughly enjoyable read with a decent original storyline
Disadvantages: May take too long to get going for some people.

To continue on the theme of John Grisham books comes the next one I found on my shelf as I work through all the old Books I’ve read. In fact looking at my bookcase there are more books by him in there than any other author, which I suppose really shows the kind of effect The Brethren had on my reading habits. The Testament is another of my favourite books by Grisham. As far as I’m aware before we go any further, this is one of the few yet to be turned into a film. As a former Lawyer Grisham bases most of his books on this field and although at first this probably doesn’t sound appealing he somehow manages to bring it to live and turn it into a gripping read. He pulls on his own knowledge of law and criminal proceedings in such a way that it makes it interesting to read and simple to understand. And although ...

Nightwish first strike

Advantages: Good sound, unique female vocal and great music idea
Disadvantages: Bad male vocal

Finnish Spinefarm Records in 1997 was the first album while it had some disadvantages and still looked for its musical root. In this album, Nightwish had 4 persons : Tarja (vocal) Tuomas (keyboard & male vocal) Emppu (acoustic and electric guitar & bass) Jukka (drums & percussions) Operatic female vocal, Tarja had dominated in band (Tarja was a real opera singer). But truly the leader of the band was Tuomas (keyboard). All lyrics were made by him. There is 9 tracks available in this album (track #9 divided into 4 sessions). Advantages: A fast moving storyline holds your attention...
Disadvantages: ...despite the shallow characters and implausibility

The Testament, another hefty best-seller from John Grisham. Just how well does it stack up against his other novels?
