Sony BMG wanted to record some memorable music to commemorate Christmas 2008, so with the help of producer Mike Hedges and arranger Sally Herbert some of the more traditional and well known pieces of music written by wonderful composers such as Schubert, Bach and Vivaldi have been recorded onto this CD.
The Choir of the Philharmonic Academy of Rome, the Irish Film Orchestra and three Irish Priests gathered together in St Peter`s Basilica in the Vatican City to make this recording.

Judge Priest is a film that has perhaps outlived its usefulness. It is a racist film, but the sad, sad thing about the racism of this film is that it is all utterly unintended.
It stars Will Rogers Anita Louise and Stepin Fetchit and Hattie McDaniel and it was directed by John Ford in 1934.
It tells the story of Judge Priest (Will Rogers) who is an amiable judge in a Southern town.
A black man played by (Stepin Fetchit) is arrested and put before the judge. The judge realizes that the man had only been fishing, so finds him not guilty.
The film is a good vehicle for Rogers who was known for his witty and incisive comic writings.
The film revolves around the legitimacy of pretty young orphan, Ellie May Gillespie (Anita Louise). The judge's nephew Rome a promising young lawyer wants to marry her. Though his mother does ...
Advantages: Well Acted, Great Direction, Great Story Disadvantages: None
Sometimes films win major Oscars and quite frankly they don't deserve them. In recent years such formulaic entries such as A Beautiful Mind have walked away with top honours while far more original and challenging films leave with nothing. I thought that the same could be said for Million Dollar Baby, I had read comments that the film wasn't up to the hype and honour. Meanwhile others declared it the one of the year's best.
Well it was with a bit of mile trepidation that I sat down to watch the dvd. However I was sure it would at least be a decent film because Clint Eastwood rarely puts a foot wrong and you can be sure of getting some quality product. Million Dollar Baby actually exceeded my expectations by far. It is one of those films that rarely get made anymore but hopefully its success will mean that more will.
