Mostly from the 80s, not many hits & almost no disco tracks

Advantages: The 6 number 1 records
Disadvantages: The rest of the tracks are rubbish

the Swiss chart where it was #4. The song itself certainly does contain elements of disco but then the French were always behind trends as far as music went. 5. Don't Stop The Music - Dina Carroll. From 1990 so its at least 20 years too late to be considered disco and it charted in the UK at #84 so it couldn't possibly be considered a hit. It sounds more like a House/Funk fusion if I'm honest, not even slightly like disco. 6. Hit And Run Lover - Carol Jiani. From 1981, it reached #4 on the US Billboard Club Play Singles chart. Its very synth pop and sounds a lot like "Trapped" by Colonel Abrahams. Or "Searching" by Hazel Dean. Its one of those dance music tracks that was really popular in gay clubs that were still mourning the passing of disco and would buy anything that sounded remotely like it. 7. Tip of the disco iceberg!

Advantages: A good selection of well known disco classics
Disadvantages: A mere tip of a whopping great big disco iceberg, shop around for some real disco gems!

I believe that a purchase of "Disco Fever" provide you with pretty much a decent selection of classic disco classics. I dont feel that the tracks on the CD are by far the best funk/disco tracks out there, however for a nostalgic take on the disco era, not a bad effort. heres the track listing: 1. The Only CD You Need For Disco

Advantages: Fantastic Variety
Disadvantages: None

I would recommend this to anyone, young people and older people. Anyone who likes 70's music. The variety of music on this CD is much more than any other disco CD I have seen. This is the type of CD that you can put on in your car while driving to work and it will cheer up your day or get you in the mood for a party. The album is full of oldies but goodies, that make you want to sing and dance. Ofcourse it holds all of the 70's classics like The Jacksons, Earth Wind and Fire and Candi Staton, which you find on all other 70's and disco cd's but 101 Disco Anthems has so much more "Hustle" to offer! ...
