Advantages: Hilarious, great rounds Disadvantages: None
Never mind the Buzzcocks is a comedy quiz show with a musical theme. It started in 1996 and was first presented by Mark Lamarr but since 2006 it has been presented by Simon Amstell. The title is the merging of the Sex Sex Pistols' album "Never Mind the Bollocks", and the band Buzzcocks.
There are two team captains, Phill Jupitus (who has been on the show since the beginning), Sean Young (who left in 2002), and Bill Bailey (2002-2008). Since Bailey there have been a series of guest hosts, including Mark Ronson and Stephen Fry. Helping the captains are two guest stars, usually musicians or comedians, who then have to try and get more points than the other team, although whoever wins doesn't seem to matter much as the whole thing just seems like an excuse to have a laugh!
Both Lamarr and Amstell seem to have a very dark, sarcastic ...

THIS IS ONE OF MY 4am REVIEWS - IT REQUIRES MAJOR FORMATTING SO APOLOGIES IN ADVANCE FOR THE LACK OF STRUCTURE :)
This scent is delightful sniffing right out of the bottle. Smells exactly like cinnamon buns to me, especially the icing part. As a bubble bath, it bubbles nicely and it makes my skin feel very soft afterwards!
This is definately the best 3 in 1 by philosophy. And believe me, I've tried a ton of them. The scent does not linger on most of them, but on this one, it does.
I know people who only use it in the winter time, to give them that warm feeling, but I use this regularly.
The lather is lovely and creamy, and a real pleasure to use. It's not at all drying or abrasive.
but it did work nicely as a shaving cream
The scent is a soft, warm, sweet cinnamon (slightly buttery, very creamy and foodie), rather ...
Advantages: Lots of freedom, broad and deep immersion in the subject Disadvantages: Little feedback, little sense of community
Doing philosophy at UCL can be an unsettling experience. No one will check if you don't attend lectures, tutorials are once a week, with essays every three weeks, and if you don't prepare for these, well, nobody cares.
The course is traditional, you study for 5 compulsory papers, broadly covering the history and major areas of philosophy, and 3 optional ones (details of which are on the departmental website). It's all in the analytic tradition, and there's little exploration of philosophical issues as they apply to other areas at the moment eg. bioethics, the nature of information, cultural relativism. Its definitely straight, traditional philosophy.
If this is really what appeals to you, and you don't mind the difficulties travelling all over London to attend lectures, then I would recommend the course. You are definitely given ...

Album Notes
'Flat Pack Philosophy' is The Buzzcocks' follow-up album to 2003's eponymous 'Buzzcocks'. Although the band may be a little older, their music still rages with the same intensity that they had in the late seventies, and much of the material on this album stands up to their classic albums 'Another Music In A Different Kitchen' and 'Love Bites'. Includes the tracks 'I Don't Exist' and 'Credit'.
