Flora Gave me Fairest Flowers

Advantages: Relatively inexpensive and tasty.
Disadvantages: Not quite as good as butter.

...I want to make a confession to all you fellow Ciaoers - I love fresh butter on my toast and baked potatoes. It is absolutely delicious but unfortunately does not help the healthy eating regime as it has an astronomical fat content and is full of saturates. So, when I decided it was time for a change the hunt was on to find a decent substitute with a similar taste. Not easy but once my mind is made up I am a determined little madam. After trying several, including Tesco's own brand (yuck) I came across Flora Light - Vegetable Low Fat Spread. It is available in 3 sizes - 250g, 500g and 1kg which will set you back 57p, 84p and £1.57 respectively. So, the price was very attractive. Advantages: Nice easy read
Disadvantages: Not a book with a lot of depth or any plot twists.

...The Plot Flora's Lot is the story of Flora Stanza a young single Londoner who inherits part of an auction house after the death of her uncle. Having no real ties in London she decides to pack up and move to the country to find out a little more about the business she has inherited. Problem is that all Flora knows about the antique business is what she's picked up on programmes like the Antiques Roadshow. Floras' meddling in the business does not go down well with the co-owner, Floras cousin Charles and his fiancée Annabelle. They want to buy her out and send her back to London but Flora isn't prepared to give in that easily. Flora and her cat who is about to have kittens moves into a neglected holiday cottage owned by Annabelle which is in the middle of nowhere. Advantages: Some good effects
Disadvantages: Badly filmed, stupid story

...of the building collapsing were just to realistic to the events of September the 11th and though they should not have been shown. The monster was completely strange and it did in fact remind me of a creature which was in the second series of the TV show Primeval. It was a sort of cross between and monkey and dinosaur but it threw off little spider / scorpion creatures which tried to attack people. The effects for this were OK but I have seen a lot better in other films. The film was shown on the Horror channel so I was expecting it to be a bit scary or jumpy but I did not find this at all during the film and it was so predictable. The ending of the film was just so awful and me and hubby just sat there as if to say ?was that it?? There was nothing final to the end and it was a big let down. I will.
