Excellent album
Review of 18 Kids (Greatest Hits) - Keith Urban by ninjette

Advantages: Good range of tempo and fantastic lyrics
Disadvantages: could be classed as a bit too country for some!

...Keith Urbans style is closely related to this category. It is also comparable to Pete Murray (an Australien artist) who has the same chill out notion. 18 excellent tracks all of which are worth listening too! Great value for money and easy lisening for all the family! ... Read review

Martina hits the high notes as ever
Review of Waking Up Laughing - Martina McBride by HokaHey

Advantages: addictive songs, stunning voice
Disadvantages: not long enough...you never want it to end!

After her amazing tribute to classic country songs on the Timeless album, Martina McBride returns to a more familiar sound with this latest album. Her voice is as powerful and emotional as ever - how such a strong voice comes out of such a small lady is beyond me! There's some strong contenders on this album for song of the year. Loveland is a stunning and heart wrenching song with a memorable melody and moving lyrics. The title track will have you ...
...do whilst listening to music! I've followed Martina's career since she was supporting Garth Brooks on tour in 1993 and I have to say this is one of her best albums yet. Whether you want to laugh, cry or sing along, this album has something for everyone. Buy it, settle back and listen...you won't be disappointed in the slightest. Now we just need her to tour in support of it! ... Read review

Leann Rimes, but she sings as well
Review of Best Of LeAnn Rimes, The - LeAnn Rimes by Udo1

Advantages: Good alternative music, fantastic voice
Disadvantages: none

...it is full with Leanns best songs and some new ones as well. Two of my favorite songs are on both Albums:" Life goes on" and "Suddenly".The new songs on this Album are "We can", "This Love" and "Last thing on my mind", a duet with Ronan Keating, currently No 6 in the Singles Charts. The album itself is a mixture of ballads and Rock/Country songs which appeals to the broadest section of listeners. There is something for everyone in this album, even ...
...is definetly one of the best albums I have ever bought. I hope this album will make her talent more recognisable in Europe as this kind of music is very rare over here. I would recommend this Album to everyone who wants a change from todays bland HipHop-filled music industry. ... Read review

Full of Timeless country classics
Review of Timeless - Martina McBride by liz1102

Advantages: Bringing old tracks to the modern audience
Disadvantages: Doesn't really give Martina a chance to shine

...I'm looking at Martina McBride's Timeless album. She's another country star I was lucky enough to see in concert this summer, when she visited Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas as part of her Timeless tour. This album is different to the majority of her other work, in that it is entirely composed of Martina's tributes to classic country songs. ~ ~ ~ Martina McBride ~ ~ ~ Born on 29th July 1966 in Sharon, Kansas, Martina McBride ('Martina Mariea Schiff' ...

Thea doesnt lie
Review of Liejacker - Thea Gilmore by jcneil

Advantages: Great voice, Lyrics
Disadvantages: None

...age. Her eighth album entitled Liejacker is one of her best and has been critically acclaimed by the music press who consider her to be the greatest british songwriter of her generation. You may have read my review of London's Bloomsbury Theatre where I saw Thea Gilmore in concert and met her in the foyer after the gig where she signed my copy of this album. I requested this album on dooyoo So without further ado here is my review of Thea Gilmore's ...
...May. **Liejacker** 1. Old Soul This is a nice duet with Dave McCabe of The Zutons, the track opens with a gentle guitar and then Thea's distinctive vocals come in with the beat of the drum coming in gently every few seconds. The addition of Dave McCabe works really well as he offers up an emotive clear vocal. A wonderful start. 2. Black Letter This is a great track which has a darker feel to the opening track Old Soul. I love the Cello in this ... Read review
