Alan Jackson is a folk and country singer from Georgia. His music is mainly diddley-dee and all weird guitars and country genres. This isn't really the sort of music that i would like but because my dad bought it i sort of got hooked. A cracking album from one of the u.k top folk artists. This album shows a true cross section of work from Bert's repertoire. Personally, i like every track on the album and as a fellow musician Bert's arrangements are exceptionally good and complex! There are the traditional tracks like "Black waterside" (Led Zeplin used Bert's arrangement for one of their own tracks,) aswell as reading of "Nottamun Town" and the murder ballad "Bruton Town." Old Soul This is a nice duet with Dave McCabe of The Zutons, the track opens with a gentle guitar and then Thea's distinctive vocals come in with the beat of the drum coming in gently every few seconds. Bela Fleck & The Flecktones...an amazing array of just about everything you can put into a band while keeping it edgy, listenable, and exciting for the listener.
