I was driving through North Norfolk about five years ago and a track called "Redneck Woman" came on the radio. To hear such a funny song in such an appropriate location stuck in my head and I finally hunted down the album.
Gretchen Wilson is a bit like Dolly Parton without the sugar. Aside from the stand-out Redneck anthem she serves us with some excellent, feisty country music from the female (albeit the Christian-American-Redneck female) perspective. ... ...is a gorgeous love song with an adulterous counter-current, "Homewrecker" is a lovely bitch-on-bitch diatribe and of course the stompin' "Redneck Woman" which should become a staple of Hen Parties everywhere (and not just North Norfolk).
But my favourite is her ode to boozing called "When it Rains (I Pour)". ...

My hubby was listening to the charts a while a go and I heard the song 'Love story' and really liked it which is why I ended up with this album. I had no idea who Taylor Swift was and still don't which is why I am not going to use this review to explain about who she is, where she lives and what chocolate bar is her favorite. Now i tend to venture outside the old rock zone which i have comfortably settled in but i dont go out those zones often, i listen to the likes of Dixie Chicks and Vanessa Hudgens and Miley Cyrus and i have recently come across this woman...Taylor Swift. Did not think i would like her at all but my mom bought the cd and while she was playing i couldnt help but think...oh my god she has talent! Advantages: Beautiful Lyrics, Beautiful voice, really paints a picture with each song. Disadvantages: I truly found no negative aspects whilst listening to 'A Good Day'.
