After trawling through hundreds of different eyeliners.i brought rimmel london's specialeyes eyeliner.I would recommend this to anyone, and at such a bargain you cant go wrong!
---- price ----
£2.50 is a very good price for a quality eyeliner, especially as some 'high end' brands are rubbish. All rimmel products are well priced and this is no exeption.
---- smudged? ----
I find that, after wearing all day it does smudge very slightly, however it looks better when it does smudge as it gives a more subtle effect! In the rain it didnt smudge at all which was reassuring with the british weather!
---- irritation ----
Despite wearing contact lenses and having sensitive eyes, this eyeliner caused no irritation at all.The first few times i tried it, the pencil was very sharp and dragged on my skin a bit, however after a couple of uses ...
Advantages: Fascinating tale of bully and victim making you want to read more Disadvantages: Plot lacking in....something!
As some of you might already know, Margaret Atwood is one of my favourite authors so it will come as no surprise that I am reviewing another of her books!
Despite "CatsEye" being published back in 1988 and being shortlisted for the Booker Prize; it isn't a book I had read! My boyfriend picked it up for me in a book store and presented me with it - silly really as he knows I'm an Atwood fan so though it was very thoughtful and of course I was pleased and grateful, he had no idea if I had read it or not before, good for him (and me!) that I hadn't!
So off I went on my holiday to get myself lost in another of her delights by the pool...
Plot
The story is a retrospective account of the life of Elaine Risley, a middle aged artist who returns to her childhood home of Toronto for a showing of her work. Returning to her ...
Advantages: White hi-power LED for resonable economy Disadvantages: Pricey - still need another light to aalert pedestrians
of flashbulbs. Having to angle the beam down for fear of blinding the driver in front is a new concept for a pedal cyclist, but bear in mind that handlebars do come almost level with the rear view mirror in many saloon cars.
There is one major drawback though - in creating a 'proper' focussed beam with little dispersal, it's not so visible from the sides, and this matters especially with pedestrians, who have an uncanny knack of seeing past you to the car behind, still managing to step off the kerb right in front of you despite apparently looking you straight in the eyes first. As a result, I also run one of those smaller flashing devices, as these seem more effective at attracting attention.
Coming back to the Cateye, it has some admirable features beyond its sheer power for its size. The on-off switch is entirely waterproof, being controlled ...

Album Notes
After several acclaimed releases on the Domino label, Fife-born singer/songwriter James Yorkston finally appeases his penchant for traditional tunes in full with this collection of, as the title suggests, folk songs. According to Yorkston himself, many of these songs derive from the 1960s folk explosion, taking in such artists' work as Lal Waterson and Eliza Carthy. Eschewing his usual backing band, The Athletes, the musicians assembled for 'Folk Songs' have been dubbed The Big Eyes Family Players and are made up of friends of Yorkston.
