13. “It’s On”
After twelve track, all contacting five seconds worth of silence, you come to a track which has them getting straight into some deep Metal work, it has them go for something pretty typical in terms of Metal, and they only show some originality through the use of some strange sounds, but aside from this, it wasn’t saying a lot in particular.
**Two Stars**
14. “Freak On A Leash”
Moving on from what I would consider to be a pretty weak tune, you have them distance themselves from this by going for one which has David Silveria go for some pretty funky drumming to lead the rest of the group in for some hardcore stuff. It seems to be going this way at so many point as they are continually building tension, but so many anti-climaxes occur as they never take it that step further, and it mean that it is a useless tune. The breakdown is nice, but not too special.
**Three Stars**
15. “Got The Life”
This track has them do what I would consider to be some very average work which really has very little originality going for it at all. It begins with a fair stretch of instrumental before Jonathan Davis, on lead vocals, comes forward to go for the type of Rapcore stuff which was popular at the time, and it certainly fits in with the feel of the backing but doesn’t really stand out at all for what it does.
**Three Stars**
16. “Dead Bodies Everywhere”
The booming bass and haunting melody at the start of this track force you to be taken over as it builds up the tension. This soon breaks down into what it clearly one of the best tracks which this album has to offer. It has them play with conventions by implementing Hip Hop-esque synth from the early nineties to drive it as they perform a dark tune.
**Four Stars**
17. “Children Of The KoRn”
This track stands out for the fact that it brings in more Hip Hop than almost any other part of the album with it gurney style of producing the thing, it uses the general sound, and manipulates them into their twisted ways. From this, you find that the Gangsta Rap legend ice Cube joins with the Rap on top of it and put in all he can to drive them along the way.
**Four Stars**
18. “B.B.K.”
After having a couple of consecutive big ones, they seem to keep this trend going with this one. It was the final single from the album, and finds them coming with a track which has them putting their all in to excite the listener as they perform more of their haunting material and show how they are able to bring in as many differing influences as possible to come up with such an original end product.
**Four Stars**
19. “Pretty”
The percussion in this track’s opening is heavy, and it gives you all you need to get into as it begins. However I felt as though it went on, the standards seemed to slip as they resort to some more of the gruesomely disturbing work which the album started with. The lyrics in this really put me off it, and I felt that the backing of it did little to help me back into the flow.
**Two Stars**
20. “All In The Family”
Limp Bizkit’s Fred joins them on this one, and with two of the biggest acts in Nu-Metal collaborating, you would expect big things. You find that together they choose to go for the Hip Hop-inspired work with lots of hard breaks being juxtaposed with the twisted KoRn sounds. It is like a rap battle between Durst and Davis for this reason, but it is completely ineffective in its stop and start structure.
**Two Stars**
21. “Reclaim My Place”
As they go back towards their Metal side, it appears that they find what they are about again, and the results of it are quite clearly improved in that it has them doing some more traditional work that most are able to relate to and understands without and sort of difficulty or clarity. They are sure to show how unique they are with a type of Hip Hop percussion break, which was done well, and so it turns out to be a decent one.
**Three Stars**
22. “Justin”
This was one of my favourites from the album, and I am surprised that it didn’t make it to become a single, s it has them putting it absolutely every last little bit of energy into this hardcore tune. It has them go right into the deep Metal side of their work and pretty much neglect the Hip Hop, but I thought that it showed exactly how well they were capable of doing the stuff which their genre is known for, since they had proven they could make it fit with their personal tastes.
**Four Stars**
23. “Seed”
Thy return to the average work on this one, so the album is shown to be clearly very inconsistent in what it delivers, and at each phase you are greeted with something which contrasts so greatly from what you would have gotten just prior to it. After a lengthy introduction, they get down to it and try more experimental stuff with subtle Funk sounds coming through, but it seems to stay pretty ordinary throughout.
**Three Stars**
24. “Cameltosis”
Thy seem to try out completely new things for this one with an Middle Eastern feel coming through in this tune, and it forces you to see them in a new way as they are willing to try anything to get their stuff to sound unlike anything else out there. They utilise more of the Hip Hop world by using Slimkid3 of The Pharcyde to MC on top of the funky breaks of this joint, but it didn’t make it as strong as it could have potentially been.
**Three Stars**
25. “My Gift To You”
To end the album comes a track which sounds just like it is coming to the climax of the thing as the are clearly at the end of what they have o offer with this one and bring out all that they hadn’t in the other points in it. It sounds like they reverted to the obvious choices in doing the pretty straight-forward Metal, but many will probably enjoy this side of them (I just thought that to end it, they could have tried to do something mre creative).
**Two Stars**
The content of this album shifts in quality from one track to another and so you are rarely able to really connect with it for any sustained period of time. On the whole, as a result, I wasn’t really feeling this album as you were never really given a chance to get into any one track, as the one before it would have been so different to it, but so many others felt in opposition to this. This isn’t the type of Nu-Metal I enjoy, and it helped me understand which direction suits my tastes.
Advantages: Its KoRn!,Freak On A Leash,Had alot of hype. Disadvantages: Songs might sound similar at times.
This is the album which made KoRn so popular and which made alot of so called 'die-hard' fans call KoRn sell-outs which i totally disagree with. The albums before this were the self-titled and life is peachy. This album boasts the highly popular Freak On A Leash and Got The Life.
Track Listing:(note:the tracks start from number 13)

14.Freak On A Leash
This is the song which basically sells the album as some people only buy it for this song. The video is awesome which features a bullet destroying everything in its path. It has been nominated for several awards and has even won a couple i think. It's about how much the music industry expects everything from you. A hyped up song but is still great to listen to.
15.Got The Life
Another popular song which is talking ...

Advantages: Original, High paced Disadvantages: None
Well this is KoRn's third LP, and clearly they've changed their style again, after what I thought was a poor second album in "Life Is Peachy". Maybe my title is a little inacurate as KoRn's first album was nothing short of brilliant but I consider this to be their best. Hard to define KoRn into a style as music, as they are very different from most bands. The innovative part of KoRn comes out in the bassist, Fieldy as far as I'm concerned. Listen ... ...a bass-guitar. Not to be a conventional bassist, Fieldy describes himself as a drummer on bass. That's about as well as it can be described, but be assured that the bass lines are important to KoRn's sound. Jonathan Davis is on top form in this album, I can't understand how people can assume all Jon does is shoutand screaming. Aside from his shouting being minimal, Jon has an excellent voice. An interesting album considering the first track with ...

15. Got The Life
- - - - - - - - Korn released this track secondly and not suprisingly this was also another big hit. The video contains limp bizkit frontman fred durst in the video. The songs drumming is the best part and johnathan davis vocals make this a great song. This is a song you can sing along to in the car.
16. Dead Bodies Everywhere
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - This may sound like a nursery ... ...is far from it. The bell noises at the beginning sound almost kiddish like but then the lyrical content is far from it. Johnathan shouting bout dead bodies. The bass and the bells at the end make a super outro.

Advantages: Kick Ass! My favourite tracks are Got the life, Freak on a leash, Pretty, and the bonus track(don't know what it's called) Disadvantages: 12 blank tracks are really annoying.
'Follow The Leader' was the first CD that I ever bought, and it is one of the best CDs that I own. I was a bit miffed when I first put it into my CD-player because at first I didn't know that the first 12 tracks are blank so I thought I had been given a faulty CD. Then I looked at the back of the case and saw that the first track was in fact number 13. After I had cleared this up I was able to listen to the Nu-Metal masterpiece that is 'Follow The ... ...13:It's On!(4:28)Opening track, starts with some strange wherring sound before the drums come in. Then comes the thumping bass that shakes my whole house!(Maybe I should turn it down incase my parents make me pay for repairs.)
Track 14:Freak On A Leash(4:15)Hell knows how they make guitars sound like this! Bass isn't quite so heavy on this one. Only track I can remeber all the words to. Track 15:Got The Life(3:45)One of the best tracks on the album. ...

Advantages: Heavy meaningful rock with some of the best songs around Disadvantages: Because they’re famous they ‘sold out’.. uh?
...newest album at the time, Follow the Leader, deserved greater attention than it was paid, as it is on of the best rock/metal albums of this era.
I think it is one of very few albums that grabs you kicking and screaming right from the start and never lets you go. Korn have assembled an almost flawless lineup of hard hitting rage fests, deep and thoughtful numbers, and some pure stonking tracks. The number of sheer quality songs is what makes this ... ...pieces that flaw the album as a whole. Almost every song has a point in it that will make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, and that is my favourite measure of how good the music is, meaning this album is unforgettable.
Korn is quite different from other new rock music around. It is just as empowered with anger, yet the vocals often have a kind of sweet innocence to them. Not what you’d expect from heavy rock. Their frontman often uses ...

Compact Disc (2003) Album
The cover displays an intriguing piece of artwork. The back of a small blonde girl wearing a red dress teeters at the edge of a path jutting off a cliffs edge. The path has markings in white of a hop-scotch game to which she is about to step off the number 9 and off the cliff edge into certain death. She leads a long trail of children to the same fate. This convoy stretches back towards the back of the cd and the same depiction is on the inside of the cd inlay. A reference to the "Pied Piper of Hamlin", probably who led the children away from the parents when they refused to pay him for his enchanting music. (a fairy tale).
The drab and bleak colours of the scene are contrasted with the bright red dress of the little girl. Almost suggestive ...
Advantages: Lots of excellent consistent hard and soft rock tracks! Disadvantages: There are none if you like weird rock music. If you don't then this is probably not you're type of music
There are two CDs in this box set by Korn, Korn and Follow the Leader.
Korn was the first album out of these two, in fact it was actually Korn's first ever album. It has twelve tracks that are sort of rap hardcore metal. Not as in rap like Eminem etc. I mean a good lot of heavy metal with a good beat; it is like a mixture between rock, punk and metal. They are sort of like Slipknot in a way because of they're random music, and rhythm, however in Korn you can actually hear the words slightly clearer! Overall it is a LOUD, ANGRY, HEAVY METAL album.
This album you can only play on full blast volume, it is not quiet. It has fourteen random tracks and it stays like that the whole way through. Well that's what makes it so good! It has a good rhythm and beat to it for every track. If you like System of a Down, Linkin Park ...
Advantages: still old skool korn! Disadvantages: the start of the cd
This is one of Korn's originals. The tunes are funky for a metal band and really catchy.
The cd takes a while to load on any normal cd player as for some unknown reason the first track is number 13 !! So, unless you skip your player to start at 13 you will have to listen to nothingness for a while.
The album sleeve is a really well illustrated scene that continues on the inside of the case and onto the cd disc. The illustration of children following a little girl for miles to the cliff edge is in black and white and is eye catching as it is unusual.
Korn consists of : Reg "Fieldy" on bass, "Munky" on guitar, "Head" on guitar, David on drums and of course, Jonathan Davis as lead singer (and also bagpipes).
This album was released in 1997 and is their third major success. the previous albums being: "Korn", and "Life is Peachy ...

Album Notes
Tracks 1 through 12 are silent and are each five-seconds long. The album's track listing begins with number 13, "It's On!" Korn: Jonathan Davis (vocals, bagpipes); Munky, Head (guitar); Fieldy (bass); David (drums). Additional personnel: Ice Cube, Trevant Hardson (vocals); Justin Walden (drums, programming); Tommy D (programming). Producers: Steve Thompson, Toby Wright, Korn. Recorded at NRG Recording, North Hollywood, California. Like Fear Factory and a host of others, Korn combines streamlined metal with ominous industrial touches and an undercurrent of hip-hop rhythm. FOLLOW THE LEADER is an urban nightmare, as unrelentingly dark as Onyx, Tool or Nine Inch Nails, and stylistically indebted to all three. The twin guitars of Munky and Head provide the requisite rock quotient, but throughout the album the band ventures beyond heavy rock cliches. The churning, jackhammer rhythms are leavened by subtle synthesizer work and occasionally the band falls into a bracing hip-hop beat, allowing them to show off the hard-edged syncopation that's at the core of their very visceral sound. Fostering the rap influence, Ice Cube makes a guest appearance on "Children of the Korn," and his hellbound, apocalyptic worldview sounds perfectly at home on FOLLOW THE LEADER.
