As I have been really busy in the last days it took me a while write another opinion here for ciao, at least one that would please my high quality standards... *g* Okay, where did I stop? Ah, yes, in the discography of the German Fantasy-Metalband Blind Guardian. Okay, so let's see what we got here: The Forgotten Tales... This album can not be considered as a regular Blind Guardian album indeed. It was born out of the idea to try something different and make some coverversions. And as the band has done some coverversions before they decided to rearrange some older songs and put them alltogether on an album. So the idea for "The Forgotten Tales" was born somewhere in 1996. THE GUARDIAN.

Advantages: A good value, excellent read.
Disadvantages: None.

--THE GUARDIAN--- When I buy a paper I want one that offers great all round content. I really look forward to Saturday when I purchase the Guardian. It's just really good value. I don't really get much time these days to actually read a newspaper during the week, as I am so busy writing all the time, but I still try to find time to read a few newspapers at the weekends. My newspaper of choice for Saturday is the Guardian broadsheet. Sister newspaper to the Observer, the Guardian has been in business as a daily newspaper following the early success of the Manchester Guardian. The Guardian is quite simply great news with in depth analysis. What I find useful about the Guardian is its sectioning of content. It's a good value read with intelligent comment and Saturdays just wouldn't be the same without it for me. Awarded ...

Nightfall in Middle Earth is a very ambitious album that is based on JR Tolkien's The Simarillion.Many reviewers have compared this album to Queen but I think this lies in the song structures and vocals. This is also one of the best metal power/speed metal CDs ever to be released.It is fast and Heavy but it has a unique atmosphere that has been double tracked in the production department. Blind Guardian have produced some of the best choruses ever with these songs such as into the Storm, Blood Tears ,Noldor, The Curse of Feanor and Mirror Mirror. I would definitely recommend this album to anyone remotely interested in powermetal. I can easily say that if I were stuck on a desert island with one cd, this would probably be it. It is one of the only cd's I can listen to straight through till the end. ...
