Advantages: amazing story, brilliant director, brilliant actor, good moral, touching, heartwarming Disadvantages: very long duration
I watched ForrestGump perhaps two weeks or three weeks ago, really a little bit behind than everyone else, maybe.
I don't really want to watch old-movie because I love great effects and masterly shot movie, but i am happy i took the chance to watch it. So worth it. I can feel my tears running down my cheek every single time I re-watch it.
ForrestGump is about this guy who is a little bit retarded, but as I see it, he is actually very clever. He is, i must say, very innocent human being in the cruel and nasty world. So, he gives colors and opens people's perspective of life and happiness. When he was a little kid, he couldn't walk properly and he had to use electric feet. But, he never complains and his mother [who is a single parent] taught him to be strong and never listens to anyone who talk him down. Forrest has no father. He has ...
Why? Said my mind to me. Why do you have to write about ForrestGump? My mind had been ranting from the time my heart elicited a wish to write about this. It had been ceaseless for it thought that I wouldn?t be able to render justice to this great motion picture as many great writers who have already posted an article. I am perturbed. But then, This movie is all and all a movie that connects heart to heart. Why, then should I ever listen to my befuddling mind?
Why shouldn't I write about a movie that had verisimilitude in its every frame? After all, it is not a corny scrimmage that would have no effect on my sense buds. ForrestGump is a marvel. When I say it's a marvel, it points my finger to the thought that it's no-nonsense piece of art. ForrestGump reminds us of the basic mannerism that are forgot by many of us owing to ...
Advantages: Great film. A funny and sad film Disadvantages: Getting the tissues out. :D
~Contains Spoilers~
After watching this film many times, it seems to become a different story everytime. Everytime I seem to understand more and more about this character that has been created played by 'Tom Hanks'.
The film consists of ForrestGump sat on a bench, telling random people about his life. He starts his story from when he was very young, he had to have braces to help him walk, something that many people have to deal with. As soon as the story begins it shows how he is considered a 'miss fit'. Getting on the school bus ForrestGump seems not to be nervous about his first day at school, like most children are. He takes it in his stride that noone wants to sit next to this boy with braces on his legs. This naiveness leads him to some of best friends in his life.
Throughtout the film it is plain to see the amount ...

Album Notes
Minidisc is available on Sony (66329). NOTES: "I'm Forrest...Forrest Gump (The Feather Theme)" ("Forrest Gump Suite" by Alan Silvestri) was nominated for Best Pop Instrumental Performance in the 37th Annual Grammy Awards. Digitally remastered by Dave Donnelly (DNA Mastering, Studio City, California). Not since THE BIG CHILL has America been as captivated by a soundtrack as it has by FORREST GUMP. While THE BIG CHILL was more or less Motown-era songs geared towards baby-boomers, FORREST GUMP is a musical time machine spaced out over two discs. Opening with Elvis Presley's "Hound Dog," this aural odyssey ends with Bob Seger's "Against The Wind" followed by composer Alan Silvestri's instrumental "Forrest Gump Suite." In between, a host of popular genres are represented from the roughly thirty year span covered in the film. On the first disc there's rockabilly (Duane Eddy), Motown (The Four Tops), folk (Joan Baez), soul (Aretha Franklin), surf music (The Beach Boys), and pop (Jackie De Shannon). The second disc continues with protest music (Jefferson Airplane), more Motown (The Supremes), southern rock (Lynyrd Skynyrd), easy listening (B.J. Thomas), and country (Willie Nelson). This collection is tailor-made for the random button or a CD changer at any party.
Album Reviews
Rolling Stone (9/22/94, p.98) - 3 Stars - Good - "...this compilation presents the '60s and '70s sanitized -- it's a triumph of fortysomething marketing..." Q (11/94, p.138) - 4 Stars - Excellent - "...this is excellent, chiefly because obvious selections...are interspersed with choices from the interstices of pop history...Compiled by the possessor of a good record collection, clearly..." NME (10/22/94, p.47) - 7 - Very Good - "...an excellent, if somewhat overtly sentimental, romp through modern American pop culture..."
