Forwards (Special Edition) - Egg (The)

...This is one of those albums, where there is not a single bad song! Very very easy to listen to and great for the car. It reminds me a bit of Pink Floyd as a lot of the songs sound like they have been split in half and are two completly different songs. Personally, i like this as i think it makes the album interesting and different, but can be annoying if you don't like the beginning of one song but like the end of it (a lot of fast-forwarding!). Even my dad likes it, which i think goes to show how it suits a wide range of people and would therefore make an ideal gift for a member of the family or just a friend. Ones to listen out for are death and his friends and strawberry swing.... Read review

...of my local HMV, but I couldn't find it in Virgin Mega store. It contains 11 tracks plus the bonus track 'Take my hand'. If I had to compare Dido in style to anyone it would be a younger lighter version of Sarah McLachlan, or a less angry, (but just as angst ridden) Alanis Morissette, allot of the tracks seem to be about lost love and broken relationships but still manage to remain quite light and fairly up-beat. I can honestly say that I liked all the songs on this album, and am happy to play the whole thing without diving for the fast forward button on the cd palyer. I would recomend this album for those times when you don't want to listen to pop but don't want to end up slitting your wrists from an Alanis over-dose either. *'Here with me' is due for release in February 2001. **A special edition of the album is also available which...
