Advantages: Great songs that bring back memories Disadvantages: Some weaker songs
...I won this CD in a competition on www.student123.co.uk and thought I'd get Ciao to add it so I could review it.
This is one of 3 compilation albums that Friendreunited.co.uk have put together. There's also 70's and 90's. As I was born in the 80's, this music was played throughout my childhood and holds some found memories for me.
There's also 2 compilation on 60's, a CD for each year from 1970-1989 but they weren't made in the same way as the 70's, 80's and 90's compilation albums were made.
How this CD was made was that the website www.friendreunited.co.uk asked their members to give their opinion on the best music of that certain decade and then picking the 42 favourites of the bunch. Put them on 2 CDs and hey presto, they brought out the CD. This CD costs £9.99 in HMV and you can get on auction site a lot cheaper...

Advantages: Great songs from the 80's Disadvantages: A few one hit wonders
...FANTASTIC 80'S 2
Since I remember quite a bit of this 80's music growing up with it I wanted to review this double CD album.
This is probably the best out of the three of them and has songs on it most of you will remember. The CD's cover a wide range of this 80's music and is highly enjoyable (if you liked the music that is !!)
Both disks have hits from them that reached number one in the charts at the time and bring back good memories from my schooldays.
The first disk contains :
1. Club Tropicana by WHAM - This single was released in 1983 just as the band was taking off and this was probably one of their biggest hits that made them, this had a bright colourful music video for the time.
2. The sun always shines on TV - A-HA - This single was released in 1985 and was a big hit for this band and probably their most...

Advantages: Ohhh to be young again Disadvantages: none
...Well at last it has appeared as I requested this. In November last year I saw this advertised on the television and wondered if it was as good as it seems. I was a bit worried as I have bought many an 80's flop only to find that all the songs have been by one band and appalling at that and it has gone straight to the bin.
I however kept seeing this television advert and put it on my wish list to Santa. However Santa wrote me a nice letter saying that he could not get into Woolworths to buy it on Christmas Eve as it was jammed packed.
So come the sales, off I trotted and priced it up at HMV, Woolies and other places and it all seemed to around the same price £15. Now I am not really a cd person, I prefer most of the old vinyl days which I collect and probably have got over a 1000 records but my player broke.
I took the CD...
