Advantages: Truly inspirational, awe inspiring production of music

...As a long standing Bowie fan, i recently purchased this album to replace the origianl that somehow went astray - its bizarre how you mange to loose so many CD's - or is it just me?!?! When the album Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders From Mars was first introduced, it presented to the world a unique pre-packaged personality. For me it also defined the glitter rock movement of the early seventies (would love to be able to go back and experience that first hand). The album & Ziggy Stardust personna really did take rock theatrics to new eights. My favourite song on the album has to be "suffragette city", the most ferocious track on the album with high guitar rock aggression. Playing the guitar myself I found this album to be inspirational for song writing allowing me to explore song writing down new avenues. I'd recommend any young up... Read review

Advantages: Loads of songs, excellent live performance.
Disadvantages: Aimed at the fans.

...Depeche Mode are adored by their fans for many reasons. For those who have been fortunate to have seen them perform live there is something else to be passionate about. The band have played live all over the world for many, many years now and "101" is one of the biggest and best. This album was recorded at the Pasadena Rose Bowl about 12 years ago and was number 101 in a long list of live dates in america to promote the Music For The Masses album. The recording is almost perfect the songs are performed with energy and the crowd really are enjoying every second of every song. There are many classic depeche mode songs here and if you're a DM fan who hasn't got this then you have no idea just how much you're missing out on.
